Safe Mail

trying to set up a safe mail account, everything works fine till I get to the section to type in the word or letters in the security box, guys I'not stupid but I can't see any letters or make a word out. I've tried both on iPad and PC and it's still the same? Any suggestions? Stumped?

is there a little audio icon on the side somewhere... most those have an audio thing for the visually impaired!

I'll take a look at it again later today. To be honest first one I've never been able to make the text out. I've even squinted like you need to do when looking at 3 d pictures. At first thought it was the Ipad but then tried my lap top, same result, will look again later. thanks for the suggestion.

just keep clicking the tiny little refresh button until you get one that you can see

I second that, Ive usually got to do this a couple of times before I get a captcha that is actually legible and possible for me to read.

Hey man hope you don't mind but going to kind of piggy back of this thread and i'm sure it will help you too.. So I noticed the past like 3 days that at least twice safemail has gone down and I am new so not sure if this is a common thing and it happens often and just for short periods of time or it can be indefinite?

I ask because I really don't want to have my main email going down so I can't communicate with vendors during and for my orders and order history!

I have had the same problem. I have also read that safe-mail may not be the most secure site either. I think I'm just going to plop down the $ and open a CounterMail account.

In my opinion, that's an excellent decision!

Regardless of what anyone thinks there is no mail server that is 100% safe.. even countermail through Tor, with proxy servers etc! If the Gov wants anything they will get it and word is they cracked Tors servers and I know at any time they can warrant for an IP list of any proxy server!

Only 100% safe way to communicate on the internet these days is with PGP... I suggest everyone learn it and if you are on a PC you have no excuse not to... I understand if your on a Mac cause even myself has a Mac but must use the PC for PGP! Learn it soon, I only wish vendors would seem to care about it!

I agree Citystar, and Tor has another key problem with it from a technical end, but I am interested in not making things any easier. I am going on memory here, thin ice, but I'm pretty sure the govt.'s position on proxy activity is that you lose any rights you may (or may not) have as a US citizen by using them. I only try to minimize things, I know true privacy is lost.

 PGP should be second nature to everyone here, but I doubt that it is.
