Hi, Just came from Primary care physician. I have insurance with a large HMO. She actually felt bad, but she is not allowed to prescribe ADHD meds. SHE suggested I find an outside Psychiatrist. If I see a psychiatrist within the HMO. I am required to take testing. One component is hitting the space bar on a monitor whenever a certain number comes up. The second component is the MMPI. Like I can focus enough to get through that. Any insight or research links to see what profile they want for the MMPI? Being a psychiatric social worker worker I am pretty sure I can give them whatever profile they want. OR does anyone know a psychiatrist in the San Diego area who might be sympathetic? First post hoping for some insight. Thanks in advance.
