I am so happy spring is here! This past winter was pretty mild where I live but I get pretty bummed out in the winter regardless. Bummed in a "FTW, I wish everyone would die" kind of way. I don't like antidepressants but they gave me a special lamp that didn't do anything; even if I sat by it for hours every day. They said it would simulate natural sunlight but the one they gave me must have been defective.
I always feel sick when its cold. I know I could cure it by living somewhere else during the winter. Ive been thinking Phoenix is my best bet, I use to think maybe Dallas but I dont know if its the pollution or what but the sun seems alot dimmer in TX than AZ.
@girlgerms Please dont think I am following you around and forum stalking you!!! I go through a bit of a depressive each winter and this year was the worst. I live in a warm weather clime and our winter was not bad at all and I was miserable all winter. I didnt want to do anything or go anywhere. I hated everyone and everything and I did not want to go to work. All I wanted to do was sleep and sit on my ass and do nothing. I struggled through it and as soon as it got a little warm my mood shifted instantly. It was like a light switch went off and my mood exploded into sunshine, rainbows and lollipops! I think next year I might start going to the tanning bed or trying one of those sunlight lamps. Even my pills didnt perk me up and that is bad.
I promise I am not stalking you Its just funny that you posted this because I was talking to a friend of mine about 2 weeks ago about this and she mentioned getting a sun light lamp. I dont want to take anti depressants but if it gets bad again next year, I might. I was so bummed out.
Lol, its cool. I get a little manic at this time of year. Were I'm at the weather pulls a few fast ones before settling on letting spring have its way, the sun will come out one day and it can be over 80 degrees. But its just a ruse.....2 days later there will be snow on the ground and a windchill that freezes bones to where I cannot get warm from any heat source.
Supposedly these lamps can be a real lifesaver for people with this problem. That's why I think my lamp was defective, the one they gave me wasn't cheap but I can't find hardly any reviews for it online. Next year I'm going to give it a try with a different one.
I get so annoyed when someone says "Just throw on a couple layers" or "its not even that cold" ugh. I get my payback in summer I guess when everyone is melting and sitting real still in front of the AC units. I just stand right in the sun drenched in sweat and cant be any happier My ideal outside temp is 95-100 with plenty of sunshine. Just drinks lots of water, sure beats throwing on a bunch of layers
@girlgerms I always get the strange looks too when I tell people I dig the heat. I can never put on enough clothes to stay warm and it seems like if I get cold in Oct/Nov, I stay that way until springtime. Fortunately where I live we get few cold days and I rarely have to bundle up. We have had a great spring so far and I think our summer is going to be blazing hot. I like sweating cuz it makes me think I am getting all the poison out of my body. I sure do hate freezing though!!!
@Ketmaster:
*don't just tell them the textbook symptoms
@Ketmaster:
Know how to get a script if you don't have ADHD? A vyvanse script at least, read the DSM-V diagnostic criteria and apply the symptoms to either real thing in your life or make up shit, give examples of the symptoms, don
@Ketmaster:
Pretty sure most pharmacies won't honor a prescription from those kinds of services.

@LatsDoodis so who do you use now??? I heard adhd online is a good and easy place to get adderall! Please let me know who you go through! Thanks!
@LatsDoodis:
Pharmacies, too. I switched my psychiatrist and just went through a pill mill telehealth place for a half year, then it got popular and all major pharmacies stopped filling Rx stims for this company’s independent contractor-providers, regardless of any reason than they treated ADHD patients with stims and it was a lot of people. Independent medical judgment from clinicians licensed and following rules. I needed the treatment. Who cares how many patients use the company? They followed the rules.
@LatsDoodis:
That’s wild. It should be medical judgment, not corporate fear of lawsuits. Go set that doc straight. You need to have pain controlled aggressively or not at all. Be consistent.
