As many of you may remember, last fall the DEA made a serious attempt to ban kratom. Normally when the DEA requests a ban on a substance it happens, it's over and done. Last fall we were able to stave off the proposed ban with a petiition, sponsored by the AKA (American Kratom Association), which quicky generated 140,000 signatures in a very short time. Far more than the required 100,000 needed to postpone the ban pending further research. The signatures came in from kratom users all over country and it was a huge success.
Unfortunately the DEA is back at it again and attempting to hammer through a broadly written "all inclusive" ban on many botanicals and/or alkaloids including kratom. We must NOT let this happen! Please read and digitally sign this petition and maintain the American right to use this highly effective non harmful plant. Here is a link to the petition, I do hope you will read it and sign it. Thank you all for your support! Time is of essence here in that the Senate will vote on this prior to the July 14th session break! https://www.americankratom.org/petition
