Im wondering what the difference is exactly if anyone knows?

Take Tramadol as an example, I assume that IR Tramadol would be a capsule full of power/something like it. Meaning everything goes into your system at once when the capsule dissolves in your system (Within minutes I assume?) 

Where's SR Tramadol would be your standard pill (Like a paracetamol pill) which would be down a little slower (Say over 30 minutes roughly) 

Is this correct?
