Strain vs Dose

Do these vary greatly for everyone else as well? My go to has been red Bali, even after a break/tolerance reset,1 my dose that works for me is 11-15 grams depending on quality and freshness . I tried some white strain (Thai maybe?) and puked after consuming a bit over 3 grams. It also felt like a pharmasuitical stimulant, not a mild one either.
