Tendonitis is inflammation. Ice until inflammation and pain subsides then possibly heat (bringing blood
to area) pending severity and a little bit of PT. Nothing fancy unfortunately. Attempting to train through makes it worse.

Just in case someone is reading this I thought I'd mention that a N.S.A.I.D. of some type like Naproxen should help the inflammation also on top of alleviating pain and that would be a far better option for someone than for example using Tylenol/Acetaminophen to help with the pain.

Heck if using cannabis could potentially help reduce inflammation and pain at the same time too but obviously will be very unpredictable in how effective it is for each person but it's something to keep in mind if you like to smoke consume cannabis occasionally and need a little bit of extra help.

I'd guess that anti-inflammatory thing in the diet like omega-3 oil or lack there of it could either speed up or delay recovery also but I may be totally wrong about this it's just a random thought that came to my mind right now.

I have had tendonitis many times in the elbows and knees. I have used a chemical called DMSO. Available online and in health food stores. It is basically horse liniment. It has been used on race horses since the 1930s. Runners in the 60s, 70s & 80s used it for their tendonitis. I have used it many times and it is very effective in curing tendonitis. It is not as popular now as it once was.

I had tendinitis in my wrists when I was working at a lumber mill, I found that compression helps a lot with the pain and recovery. Obviously doing things that strengthen the area but don't aggravate the area help but sometimes you can't do that when you have a job to do. DMSO sounds awesome

I've also heard about taking Glucosamine chondroitin can help with joint inflammation and aging pains.
