Hello everyone! I'm yet another chronic back pain sufferer, and have been dealing with it for the past 7 years. Had a discectomy 6 years ago, and it didn't actually help anything. Current MRIs tell stories of scar tissue, re-herniation of the disc, and spinal spurring. Yay! Plus, my scoliosis that has been with me since puberty makes things a bit more complicated.
To manage the pain, I get monthly lidocaine injections (that really only help for a week at most) and scripts that have lost their touch after the years. Chronic pain really blows, as many of you know. I swear, humans were not meant to walk upright with all the spine and back problems we face! Gravity hates us!
I'm glad to be here and learn from people in the same boat! ^-^
