Thyroid Nodules

Let's talk thyroids, I went in for a MRI on my spine and neck and they inadvertently found a nodule on my thyroid.  Scheduling the CT scan and had a blood draw to check levels, but I'm freaking out a little right now. I've never had any issues with mine ever.  Who has had something like this and what was the outcome?

Thanks!

Was the rest of your bloods ok? Neutrophils etc. no change in appetite, excessive sweating, lethargy unexplained weight lose....if you don't mind me asking? I've had experience of nodules but coupled with atleast one-two of the above sides. The outcome was still ok just an infection.

I went to an ear nose and throat specialist about 10 years ago for a deviated septum and during the examination he found a nodule on my thyroid.  So right then and there he did a needle biopsy and the results came back inconclusive and the only way they could determine if it was cancer or not was to remove the nodule.  Within a week I had surgery where they removed half of my thyroid and they sent it to pathology to determine if it was cancer.  Luckily it came back negative for cancer but because I only have 1/2 of a thyroid I now need to take Synthroid for the rest of my life but, that is definitely better than the alternative.  Also, at the time that this happened the surgeon told me that if it had been malignant that Thyroid cancer is one of the easier ones to cure.
