Unknown white powder -- how to properly test?

I found a bit of white powder in an old drawer where I kept things "things." I have long forgotten what it might be (could be baking soda for all I know). Dabbed a very small bit on my lip -- no numbness. Didn't die, so dabbed a larger bit on my tongue -- had a very artificial / almost mechanical sweetness followed by a bitterness. Didn't feel any effects but I know it might be something.

Is there something online that can test for a few dozen drugs that is cheap? Definitely isn't sugar.

just keep trying progressively larger dabs until you get the desired effect or, better, throw it away since you don't know what it is.

Have you ever used a marquis (or other similar) reagent test? Depending on what the possibilities are, those are cheap and can narrow things down substantially. Places like bunk police offer containers with dozens of uses for like $20.
