Does anyone know if a ups store can open a usps shipped letter if you rent their box?

I have one and i just feel like the lady that puts your mail in your private box is snoopy. Anyone have any opions?

I would think if she did that she would be fired immediately.  It is against the law to open someone else's mail regardless of where you work, shop or play.  She could get into a lot of trouble should she decide to tamper with your mail.    If I am not mistaken, it is a Federal Crime.   Hell, the Post office has to get a search warrant to open your mail if they think there is something nefarious in it.

Hope this helps...

@aintnouse thanks a lot. I dont think those ups store employees are actual ups employees right? Anyhow, i was curious if those workers can open a usps envelope bc you are renting their box.

@Katiehlvr1  I am not sure they are employees of ups or not.   I think those stores are franchises and private contractors so I guess technically they are not employees.  They still cannot open USPS mail.  It is against the law.   I imagine if they thought something nefarious was going on they would have to call the 5-0 or a postal inspector.   Opening of mail requires a warrant.....

If they are nosy as all get out they could open it but I think if they did they would either steal it or throw it away....I would not worry if I were in your shoes...

Hope all your letters arrive safe!

That's a gray area, i believe its on there property than yes they could obtain a warrant, but A it wont happen, unless you are just completely obvious rattling the box in front of her face, she can't do anything she can't demand a raise, let alone demand they get a warrant for your specific package, no one and i mean NO ONE wants to do more paperwork, funny thing, i picked up a pack, (time doesn't matter) as i walk out i see a pop out blister or tranax indian alprazolam and cialis laying on the ground, like wow, this is more common than i thought i know its very common but damn to the local p.o box?

This reminds me of a time where my pkg was deeply ripped in half with contents showing.  It did NOT look like a rip that could have happened accidently and then "spread" that big on its own.  When I showed my ID and picked up the package, I acted nonchalant.  It was at my local actual post office, and they see my face frequently anyway (for other things!). When I got out to the privacy of my car, I opened what was LEFT of the sealed package and I was surprised as F&^K that all of my requested items were still there!  (looking back, actually, I think maybe, just maybe ten sewmahhhhs may have been missing, one strip) but the other 190 items were still there!!!! I was happy they had made it safely, relieved that it evidently had NOT been a customs type of intervention, and on the verge of feeling insulted that whoever opened it didn't think it was even worth stealing... (maybe they were only looking for S2 type items....).

This is an interesting question. If the fed government is involved, an employee may be considered a gov actor when handling You SPS mail, notwithstanding where the letter is stored.  A U pee S employee is not an employee of the fed but you PS's possession of the letter does not render it their property. Whatever the theory, I just can't see how they would ever have authority to open anything. The fed likely instructs You P S to never do anything like that without their permission b/c the fed would be liable. Most employees are probably scared shitless of the consequences of opening federal mail w/o permission.

  5. R @ Royboy99: Roughly 1g in 10-15ml of Saline
  6. R @ Royboy99: Honestly the greatest medication I’ve trialed
  7. R @ Royboy99: And it’s not like I’m geeked out crazy looking or acting , just happy, confident , loving life, productive af, greatest nootropic I’ve experienced
  8. R @ Royboy99: Man I really love these misters I make , it takes my day that’s at a 2 and cranks it up to at least a 9… with sustained reups as needed … if only this was fda approved med lol, make my life so much easier
  9. C @ ClintEastwood: Well I got burned on my first buy. It stral sucks the guy has sole things in stock. But definitely what I ordered and I thought he was honest because I asked for something very close to it and i said what about that one. Yeah I got it. And the comms were wired and he was really wanting me to make his forum board look better. Now I know the first thing to look at even before the menu. But I have some business with usps tomorrow and will ask for everything mailed to me especially packages
  10. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: Policies have changed and i would behoove everyone to due their due diligence and go have a look. The guidelines from 5-10 years ago dont apply. And rules, regulations and laws may not either, i mean do you see anyone giving 2 sh1tz about the C0n$tituti@n recently?
  11. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @rasetreydir, yeah those are good af too
  12. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Ross7223, they should boycott pre-paid p0stage
  13. Dr-Octagon @ Dr-Octagon: @Gulp2788, no they do not as of sept 25, u cant assume everything is the same, or anything for that matter. Its a brave new A-1 world folks.
  14. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: My milage has differed to yours though, I've found them incredibly reliable with their tracking and 3 day delivery is pretty accurate.
  15. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I agree but U5PS has to go through a legal process to search packages. Private companies can open your mail at their discretion.
  16. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: @Gulp2788 because they always lose pckgs, track1ng is never right, never is 3 day deliv3ry like they say
  17. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @Ross7223 From my understanding that's actually counter-productive, but maybe you know something I don't. Why do you say that?
  18. Ross7223 @ Ross7223: Vendor$ should boycott U5P5, they are terrible!
