US customs - package from Canada

How is custom to US through Canada? Same, more or less scrutiny. Found some interesting mags there but not sure it's worth getting an address flagged
 
I never have an issue with small amounts of p0wder mags sent regular letter mail. It’s worth noting that Canada Post is currently on strike.
