USPS- Type of shipping says "US POSTAL SERVICE"

A package was sent on Monday. Has been in transit since. I'm used to usps not updating, times being off etc but this one is weird. Usually where it says the type of shipping it says first class or priority or whatever. This just says US POSTAL SERVICE then under that says USPS tracking. Also usually the tracking shows that it was recieved at a sort center and/or label created etc. This just shows it departed a sort center and been in transit since Monday. Even though it should have been delivered by now that part doesnt really worry me. It's the real official US POSTAL SERVICE thing. Like it's their package or something. Should I be worried? Anyone ever seen this? Thanks.

It came and have had another say this same thing. It doesn't give an expected delivery date but comes in a priority package so I dont know.

This is typically what is shown if the sender uses a tracking sticker. You ask for them at retail counter. They are free and can be put on anything.

Same thing has happened to me a few times. Def was a little apprehensive the first time but I’ve also had it happen with packages from friends so I think it’s fine. Also  @Blackheart I’m out of likes but thanks that makes sense
