What, if anyone knows, are the more severe side effects of valium versus xanax versus klonopin? Valium has been around (my mom's best friend took those in the 60's) for a while and I don't know how long xanax or klonopin has been around. Also, how does an anti anxiety medication like valium interact with an anti-depressant? Thanks for sharing your reponses with me !

Well, it's a lot easier to get addicted to Xanax than Valium in my experience. Klonopin never did help me so i never took much. What type of anti-depressant are you referring to, an SSRI? There are an obscene amount of anti-depressants and they all react differently.

When taken with SSRIs, benzodiazepines including alprazolam (Xanax), diazepam (Valium) and others result in increased levels of benzos in your system, excessive drowsiness or confusion. Lower doses of benzodiazepines may be needed, fluvoxamine (Luvox) has strongest effect, but problems have also been reported with fluoxetine (Prozac). Clonazepam (Klonopin) and temazepam (Restoril) may be safer than alprazolam (Xanax) and diazepam (Valium).

Thank you for the helpful info. I swear you gave me more practical information than I got from any doctor in the past ten years. Even surfing the net for info I get such conflicting data. Yes I am on an SSRI. Have been since it was introduced and not in generic form. I don't like mixing drugs and the more I know the better I feel about taking them. Again, thanks!

Question, is Chlordiazepoxide similar in effects to Diazepam? I am wondering / considering giving that one a shot to switch back and forth to reduce tolerance a bit. From what I read, Chlordiazepoxide can reduce the cravings for alcoholism also.

Thanks in advance /default_unsure.png

I suppoe that I, both woul like to use this med in Chlordiazepoxide to alternate with Valim. I see many+s undertand it an older benzo but starlite does sell if I am correct.

Could anyone shine some light on his or usd Chlordiazepoxide themselves.

its ok to take valiums with an ssri so long as ur doctor is giving u the correct dose ,t his is a very common rx

valium is good to allieviate start-up side effects of zoloft like increased anxiety and insomnia

Theyre all fairly easy to get addicted to. With xannies obviously being the easiest. But the withdrawal symptoms, in my experience, are the same with all of them.

  11. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Don’t message people about things like veterinary care without taking care to mind the rules you two crazy nuts. More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
