Sure! I am sorry for my negative attitude and realize with attitudes like mine, things never will change. It just seems to me as if it is too far gone. People that need pain meds quickly, and without much thougt AT ALL, are deemd junkies...by everyone except other pain patients. Even a former or current MD, that needs pain meds, keep it quiet because of the stigma. The same thing with mental illnesses. I mean, even if you dont have physical pain, there is a reason people are self medicating. That too, has such a stigma attached. The old tried and true meds that really work are constantly being replaced by a newer and better drug that doctors are pushing. BigPharma has the doctors in their pockets. These meds are killing us. The laws need to change, but they never will becaue BigPharma runs the country. Their money controls the elections and the elected officials are the ones that change laws. And again, should these elected officials be in need of meds down the road, sure, they will get them, but they will keep it quiet...because of the stigma. No one with a mental health issue or a self-medicating issue or a pain issue will EVER become a public official and keep their office long enough to do any good. There is lots of money in drugs...but just the new ones. So, between BigPharmas money and the stigmas attached to drugs and drug seeking, i dont have any hope for the cycle to be broken. Sadly, the bottom line is that the officials just dont care about the people. I think there are plenty of politicans who start out caring about the people but they become jaded. The issue is not one that they care about because the people that are being most hurt by it, cannot do them (the politicians) any good. That is what it is all about...the people who will benefit by the laws are the people that purchase the laws. Does that make any sense? Cuz i feel like i am babbling. Not a very organized thought, but it is mine. I pray to God that I am wrong, and honestly again, people with my attitude arent going to change a thing. But people with attitudes like yours, might. It seems so very hopeless. Perhaps I am being short-sighted, and it wouldnt be the firsttime...lol! I have been asked what I would do if i had the chance to change things. I dont know. YOu cant just give carte blanche to anyone who wants drugs.....many people would die. There has got to be a way for this to change somehow. I know I am not going to see it in my lifetime. I would love to hear something that would change my feelings.....i dont like feeling this hopeless for our, and future, generations. It makes me just sick that so many people have to love in pain, or take ridiculous chances with illegal suppliers, just to functio. My heart is full of love and sadness for the people in pain that are not being treated professionally. We should have someone taking care of us....we deserve it. It is cruel punishment for so many innocent people...when you KNOW relief is there, but just out of your reach
