Well I have to say I am furious

UGH! I just got out of my widsom teen extraction today and guess what they prescribed me.

10x 5mg hydrococone. What knd of nonsense is that! I used to take 10 of those over a single night, and they expect me to make these last a week and I'm in horrible pain.

What the heck to do do, call my doctor and beg him for more?

Sorry for my rant still a little loopy. Mixed some xanax with my hydro.

 
Wait til whatever they gave you for the surgery wears off and call the dentist and say you are in terrible pain. They should prescribe something stronger.

 
5mg, hydro is the most I've ever gotten from any dentist

 
I felt being honest with my dentist.  Tell them you suffer terribly from chronic pain and that 10 would work better then 5.  Most listen..gl

 
My son had a absessed tooth pulled last week and they gave him 30 5mg oxsee and 30 Ibuprophen. And a antibiotic. I was suprised bc of his youth and it was easy extraction. I had advised him to not bother asking/expecting anything for pain relief and he says he neever menftioned it.  When a friend had same procedure, same dentist, they told her take motrin and  gave no script. /default_wacko.png

 
I've either had lort@b or p#rcs. When one dentist did try to give me the 5mg, I just said they weren't working and they switched to p#rcs. No big story, just said I'm still in pain.

 
Where I live(ne, USA) they only like to give the 5mg...hubby came up with saying he prefers Motrin type meds..so he was always able to get them to give vixaprofeeen (yeah trying to come up with me own codes loll)  .  see best we can get here for dental ANYTHING is 7.5. so n event ya can't get a bump to p's or 10mg anything.  try for the vixaprofeeen...lowest is 7.5..its at least a lil bump.  I will pray you feel better soon.  been there and it does BLOW!  or I should have said SUCK as its milkshake , liquid diet time /default_sad.png

Well I'm going to have no choice but to call my doctor back because it has only been half a day and have my script is gone.

Hope your doctor helps you out and you are healing okay. I always think the stress of physical pain can cause slower healing. Dental pain is the worst. Did they take out all your widoms at once?

​Thank you very much for your support! Yep they took out all four and gave me basically nothing! I just think that is outrageous. What is wrong with our country. He was supposed to be a family friend also.

 
Everyone I know, including myself they gave 15 of the 5mg with one refill.  and it was 1 to 2, every 4hrs as needed.  except for hubby who was able to get those 7.5.  ever since then, any dental I've followed his lead.  praying they help and you get some relief soon.

 
use frozen peas, they actually give more pain relief then the meds..do 20 minutes on one outside ur face and then 20 on the other...it really does help tons

NOoooo , lol I took it you were CALLING YOUR DENTIST BACK, and telling him you needed something else... based on your post where you said you in fact were doing that .  no worries, I didn't take offense to your post, sometimes pain makes comprehension difficult.  hopefully your straightened out by you dr today /default_wink.png

Also my comments on what's rxd here as just to confirm most dental situations provide us with shire for pain. ;again praying you have better results today!!!

 
Man, that hurts.  I had all four of mine done at once too.  I really hope you are feeling better by now.
