Were they really the good old days?

The cooking, the cleaning, the taking care of the children.  The husband comes home, puts his feet up, smokes a pipe while the wife waits on him.  She doesn't have to go out and have a working job.  She is a lady who lunches.  She must make herself presentable every day.  Her husband cheats here and there, but he does fix everything or hires other men to fix things.  A lady wouldn't dare put her hand in the toilet tank to fix it.  She would never take the car to get fixed, men open the door for her, children call her "ma'am."    Has anyone as a woman dreamed of living a life more like this?  Has anyone actually lived this life or wish they could?  I want a man who will take out the garbage every week, who will change the oil on the car, who I would cook for every day, iron his clothes.  I am tired of doing it all myself.  Aren't there any men out there who would want an arrangement like this?  I would love to go back to the old roles, not have to learn to run a snowblower, do his shopping for clothes and sew on buttons, make martinis and Harvey Wallbangers for his friends.  Am I going crazy?  I am so sick of having to be independent 24/7.

@handsley I think the grass is always greener on the other side.  I would want a little of both situations but not fully one or the other.  If the person is a right fit there's always a little adjustment on both sides to make the puzzle pieces fit perfectly.  I know your tired of doing everything by yourself & for yourself but by living the way you have over the last few years you'll get a better sense of what works for you when "He" comes along.  But I understand what your saying.  I think your stronger than you know!

@mountaincat9,  I've tried the little of both and it seems to end up me doing most everything, although I've had success with men and taking out garbage for most of them.  I do have a prospect I'm having my first date with that I've known for many years.   He has his own life completely so I doubt I would get to have any help from being independent other than emotionally.  Those days are over for me.  I wouldn't say he's the "one" but a "close enough."  I'll take anyone that doesn't steal from me and has a driver's license at this point.

LOL sometimes that's all we can ask for @Handsley!  But they need a job too.   We have patterns that we follow in our relationships so if Mr. Right Now hangs around ask for help don't immediately do it yourself.  But most of all girl have some fun because you deserve it!

Let me know how it goes!

Hugs,

Kitty

  18. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: whereas if I use fiat to buy something the money is green anyway. Monero does this really well. Anyway rant over, you can DM me if you'd like to talk more about cryptos.
  19. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I don't really think that people understand the whole point of cryptos in the first place anymore. BTC just won't be adopted by governments because the transactions are too public and what's worse, money that is freshly minted is better than money that has been used. Like if my btc was used for something that was illegal does that mean the money is "poisoned"?
  20. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @xenxra Yeah, Like I said I've never really been that fond of btc, it isn't used as a currency, just as a place for people to invest money in, even though the whole purpose of btc was to be a currency. If it doesn't fulfill that role, what does? Monero certainly does.
