What do you make of your night "dreams"...?

Any psychiatrists in the house?

 I  still have dreams about our old house where I grew up.  My folks still live in that house, but my fond and vivid dreams of my bedroom still come.

I rarely get nightmares, so these dreams are simply memories of me walking into my bedroom and see exactly how the dresser drawer was, the bunk bed that I shared with my brother, the bedding, etc.

It may have some significance as they are recurring, once or twice a year.

Maybe it's nothing.

Do you care to share your nighttime dreams? 

 
I have a crazy dream where I am six years old in Georgia again and I walk past the swings with the ruts underneath,  and see a little black girl swinging. My back is to the swings as I approach the slide and when I climb to the top and am facing the swings again from the top of the slide, she is a pile of bones in the rut beneath the swing. I played there constantly as a child.  

 
I have a recurring dream that is almost always a nightmare. I'm in some dire situation and desperately need to call for help. I am never able to complete the call. I punch in the wrong numbers or forget a well known phone number. Frustration mounts as I try repeatedly, but I never am successful at placing the call.

I just experienced this dream last night so it is fresh in my mind. I hope it's not symbolic of some deep neurosis I'm suffering from.

 
I have reoccurring ones that I have to move back home and start college over.  I worry how I am going to get money for cool clothes. Then whatever room I end up at in my dream I have to sneak my smokes.

Then I try to order trams from an old computer. Hook up my old junkie tv. Borrow the family car to get wine. Somehow I end up back in the city trying to figure out where lived before and think I am homeless. Try to call my husband but can't figure out number.  In the dream he is like missing or with someone else so I resign and go back home confused and try to call all my old friends but can't figure out the numbers. 

I have several variations including making it to school but can't find class schedule or locker. One time I was riding my bike on. The highway for ages back and forth.

Its dumb but better than nightmares.

 
I have had a recurring dream that is also frustration manifesting itself I believe where I am driving and need to step on the breaks but my foot is under the brake and I can't quite lift it up enough so that the break is under my foot.  I have had this dream many times.

 
Somebody tell us, WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

I guess they want $150 an hour to divulge these secrets.

 
Or there are all those damn dream dictionary's. When I dream of creepy spiders or scorpions I will look that up.

The worst ones I have at times are I still have a tiny little baby to take care of.  Or when my pets end up in weird parts of my dreams and I can't control them or they like end up on the highway and I have to get them.

I have all kinda crazy dreams. Some colorful, sound and smells etc. I aparenatly have issues. 

Some of my favorite ones though are seeing cakes and goodies behind a divine glass display and I can eat them. But, ofcourse , i have ex rated dreams too. And scary airplane near crash dreams,

And ofcourse the I am running out of pill dreams. Once I had a block of perc like it was a block of cheese. I could only nibble bits off. Or the worst ones are here my pills get wet in a flood or a bath for some reason. Then they melt in my hands...

Ooh, I have had that last one and it sucks, but the block of perc cheese sounds yummy. I'll have one to go please.

there are so many ways to interpret dreams.....i have one i used to have all of the time......but no more.

i amdriving on a skyway,and it is made of toilet paper.  Go figure.

 
I like sexy dreams...but not when you have to see the person all day the next day.

 
Last night, I had sex with a really hot female prison guard. WTF does that mean?  I've been having these quite often. Maybe I should lay of watching "lock up" on MSNBC?

Lately my recurring dream is struggling to walk forward?.. Like my legs are in some kind of glue?.. Unfortunately, I don't think it takes a genius to realise I need to resolve something!.. This 'something' really is stopping me from moving forward... But I can't seem to cut it free : (.. 

Maybe 'the fates 'are trying to teach me a new lesson?..

She is actually 'hot'... Which is both a curse and a gift!.. Like a fire.. You want to keep 'playing with it' & 'poking it' (for once, puns not actually intended!) .... But you know that if you keep playing with it, you'll eventually get burnt!.. Grrrrrrrr!!!

omg!  Your dream sounds like its a very scary movie!!!!...eek!

I get the teeth falling out dream all the time..

I also get a dream that I have gotten since Im little..

My body and my friends body is rotting...or my skin is..

its always very dark in the dream...Im trying to go for help and call for help but i cannot get the words out, I try and try and try..

and there is always something scary that I cannot see coming after me...

I SOOO HATE THAT DREAM,..ITS ALWAYS THE SAME TOO..:(

 
I'm certain that some meds affect your dreams. I dream in color too - all the time which I think is not the norm. I heard that was a psychic gift thing. But must just be a smidgen cause I'm no psychic!

  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
