Hahaha I had a feeling I was gonna be smacked on the tush for this one. Everyone in my fam is or has been in the entertainment industry. At the age of 5 my mother threw me in ballet class. From there I took dance classes daily until I was 14 and was accepted into the Pacific Ballet Company of Pasadena. After that i performed with a few dance companies that I traveled with. I taught for many years tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and modern dance. I also developed a love for playing the guitar. Iove to sing and I needed an instrument. So at 16 my mother bought me my very first Washburn guitar. After my back surgery when I was 23 yrs old, my dreams of continuing to dance professionally were pretty much crushed. But 23 in the dance world is considered too old for most major dance companies. I had dreams of going to new York and becoming a rocket, and dancing with the American Ballet Theater. I still could have done that years before my surgery, but I had horrible separation anxiety and I didn't want to leave my mother alone, she was the only one that raised me . I can still dance, but just not to perfection anymore. A year after my surgery, i picked up that guitar again and perfected it as best I could. Wrote my own songs, did some recordings and played at local coffee shops in Arizona. So I had my own little gig going until about 7yrs ago when I had my 2nd son. My next five year goal is to open up my very own dance studio which will consist of not only dance, but song and theater. I also want to dedicate my love for dance to teaching the physically disabled and mentally challenged. There's nothing more breathtaking and satisfying to me, then to watch someone take your knowledge and passion and put them into their oun body, mind and spirit.

Lol, you caught me.. I'm lurkin' haha... ok, well I would have posted sooner but I don't really know what my talents are.  I make really good homemade soup from scratch.  I would make a good mediator because I can usually see both sides of an argument.  My main talent is being a bum and not feeling guilty about it, lol  That's all I can think of for now but I really LOVED your post!!!

Oh silly you /default_smile.png Okay so there you said it yourself. You...got...talent! Heck, I can't even cook. As a matter of fact, I hate cooking. Every time I try, I make a big mess and it never turns out good. But I'd sure love me a good bowl of Suzie's homemade soup right about now.

You're sweet pokey /default_smile.png  I actually thought of something else.  I'm really good with kids and they love me because I love to play.  When I'm playing with kids I forget all my problems and I'm really living  in the moment.  When I go to parties or family gatherings the adults are all on the couch and I'm with the kids, lol

I just love the way they are so honest and innocent.  For instance in a supermarket a kid riding in the basket will just stare at you and even when the mom turns the basket they whip their head around to keep staring.  I just love that!  When I take my granddaughter to the park I climb on everything with her and I never "sit" when I babysit.  I love infants too they have a calming affect that no benzo can compare to.

I think the only thing I'm much good at is baking and cooking, but mostly things like cakes, biscuits, confectionary. I'm a vegan so I have to cook it myself or pay £50 for a dairy free mars bar, or something like that. So I like the challenge of baking difficult stuff. I try and bake something at least once a week...

I do other things, I like to write and I have a couple of guitars, but they're not my talents; food is!

Oh man, if only we all lived in the same place we could have a reunion and I bet we would have the best food. I can only imagine eating some of the best home cooked food by our dbg family for days. Allllll day on end. I looooove to eat. And I must say I'm good at it too! I've gained 15 lbs over the holidays and all this food talk is making me want to cheat on my diet.
Good thing there's nothing yummy in the fridge to eat, cuz I wld be eating it right about now!

Suzie not every one has that kind of patience. It really takes a special kind of person to have that with children. I love kids too, but not in the same way as you. When I see a baby, oh heck yes all over that....only to say, "here ya go, was fun and see ya soon!" I love that I can give them back hahaha. Only time I enjoy spending time with kids is when I teach them dance. I taught for many years, so ages 3 to 12 is a joy for me when we're in the classroom together. Ask me to baby sit? Oh hell no. Im a little selfish because I was pretty much an only child and I love, love, love my solitude and I enjoy being by myself. Even if my friends ask to pay me, I'm so horrible. I will lie and say I have to work lol.

I do have quite a talent for music and I do supplement part of my living, getting various compositions published... My music has featured on a few TV adverts and I have composed several tunes for various computer game manufacturers...

I am currently working on my 3rd studio album with my new band, which is due for release this summer..

I'm afraid I can't give any more information away, or my anonymity will be compromised... Don't get me wrong, I am by no means famous, but I do have a public musical profile...

Hence the bat ; )

PS: I also like cakes, pies and pastries, like, a lot!!.. However, I don't know whether that counts as a talent?...

On a happier note, I am reasonably good at baking. My husband doesn't care much for sweets, I wish Prenicz was my neighbor and I could bring him treats.

However, like you say, on a plus note, just imagine if we were neighbours!! How good would that be?!...

I've performed my whole life on stage whether twirling around in my point shoes to singing my owns songs to my own guitar. it kills me that I (we) won't ever get to hear your stuff ?? 😭😭😭 what if I put a plzzzzz on the end of that. Something ? I got my songs up on you tube from 7 years ago when I was doing my own little Tucson gigs., I'll show you mine if you show me yours /default_wink.png It was quite fun. My boys both got their own electric guitars for Christmas. I want them to learn so bad. They have so much talent and in their own way, they are both way beyond their years. I'll have to throw up one of their little paperjam rock star videos. Remember those paperjam guitars?,dang they were expensive...but it worked for them!

I am shit at anything that requires effort. But am naturally v good at spelling and can speak an ugly European language cos I lived there for 5 years.

I'd never say this in real life but I am a fantastic mother!! Sorry I know I sound like a knob but I'm the best parent I know by miles.

I believe that when something is taken away from us, we get something special given to us in return. I am sorry you can't play your instruments. I feel the same way at not being able to dance professionally like I used to. It hurts and it sucks. Baking I could never get into. But eating someone else's... Oh heck yes bring it on! I hope Your love for baking fills that hole on your heart. I hate to cook. But I love to clean if that make a any sense lol.

Im just like Suzie with kids and with animals im like the dog whisperer. I can usually get kids to eat things they would never touch otherwise and can just sit and play for hrs. I love the innocence as well. They are all that is good and pure in this world. Same with animals. Cats especially. I am very patient. And completely respect their boundaries so kids and animals flock to me. Oh and my sister calls me an empath.

My Dad owned a high-end catering company while I was growing up, and beyond. I learned so much from him! I do particularly well with French, Italian and Thai. My specialty however is baking bread. All kinds of bread. I love the chemisty of it all...I care for that dough like it was my firstborn , from dough to finished perfection. I love getting the crust perfect for that particular loaf. and the smell! I make at least two loaves pretty much everyday. Wow, I could go on ....i just love it so much.

I used to play the piano and the bass. Neither well.

I dont know if this is really a talent, but I read. All of the time. I would rather read than anything else. I am obsessed with knowledge and learning. It is almost like an OCD with me. I dont even want to tell you what I spent on Ibooks over the last year.
