My husband is a stroke survivor and has developed a seizure disorder. He is on Keppra plus xcopri for prevention except he will still have one-three a month. They scripted him some dissolving clons for prevention if he feels one coming on. Problem is they’re .5 mg, he needs two each time and they’ll only prescribe 5 a month. I’m looking for possible alternatives. He’s completely disabled and homebound and I worry when I’m not home. I’d like him to have enough to be able to dose anytime he feels the littlest thing. Right now he tries to tough it out cuz he has so few pills but I’d rather him be on something then have seizures.
Side note, any info on MMJ for this? He is on our states list for medical but it’s Texas and the selection is very limited and hella expensive. Gummies or liquid drops with a super low amount is all we have access to here.
