What was Kratom designed for?

Hi, haven't a clue what Kratom is nor it's intended market. I suppose I could read wright through the forum but some Lima tend to go off on a tandem. Can anyone pigeon hall it for me in a nutshell.  Thank you kindly guys an gals, johnny

I have been hearing a lot about kratom.   I wonder if it realy works.. what are the effects?   I am so curious about this.

It wasn't designed for anything--it's a plant. It's possible it's pleasant effects are a way of getting animals to spread it's seeds, but I don't know much about botany.
