Ghrelin is a hunger hormone released (opposite leptin). It upregulates stomach acid secretion and intestinal motility (moving food through your digestive track). This increases nutrient processing and absorption. Ghrelin has been thought to increase fat storage, but with proper partitioning fat should not be stored in any substantial amounts (again, we direct/partition nutrients where we want them through other means). Fat gain is almost inevitable to some extent while bulking IMO (though some VERY lean bulk effectively, i rather error on the side of surplus rather than deficit to insure required nutrients are ALWAYS available to the body which results in optimal muscle mass given the current environment). When i feel fat is out of hand (my guage is ROUGHLY 12%) we, as iv mentioned in this thread numerous times, reset and prime then blast again.
