The obvious answer would be yes. But I've recently failed a hair follicle test for codeine. This was my first hair follicle test. I have been prescribed a few opiates (Hydrocodone and oxycodone) and I submitted my valid prescriptions with the hair follicle test as employee policy requires. little did I know the codeine I ingested a monnth or so ago would be detected. I mistakenly thought that my scripts would cover my ass. After research that followed my positive test result, I learned that codeine, with its completely different metabolite as with most of the other opiates, shows up only as itself.
I found out that buprenorphine is not detectable (on this particular test ) unless the employer specifies that they look for it. I was wondering if that could apply to DHC as well due primarily to the fact that it isn't really prescribed in the U.S. Should I be able to request this info from the testing facility. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Im counting on you guys for some advice here. Thanks.
