How many of you face anxiety tends to be higher in the winter time for you than the spring/summer, i always notice my x@nz intake is higher from oct-march, than i fall down 1.5mg to 2mg a day, but something about winter time just wanted the day to end ,gtfo out work so i take 4mg -5mg to keep me from losing my mind at work....

but i make sure to exercise, goto the sauna to sweat the toxins from taking to many x@nz pills and just keep a healthy body with the amount of x@nz i take, so i am very active, so i dont think my tolerance is strong jst fkin hate winter time and work, and just so fkin busy!!! and i got my first ROD (WRITE UP AT WORK) in the past 8yrs working for this shit hole company, and they really made me feel bad and stupid, and looked at me as a criminal as if i stole information !! WTF i fuckin can care less about information, i jst do what i am suppose to do and gtfo !

i hope next week when i try klonopin work will go by faster, i can gtfo go do my own shit i want to do like skate, surf, workout, hit the strip club for free cause my w33d connect works at the door (weird), any

Hmm, weird how it affects everybody differently. My anxiety peaks in Spring and Summer; there's more going on, there's more people everywhere, there's more people getting drunk and people just seem to lose their minds sometimes. I think summer just unleashes a human plague, eugh... in winter I can get away with just being indoors, that means less people, that means less anxiety. Depression follows me all year, in spring/summer, all the 'sunshine and lollypops' crap just makes me feel alienated and feeling worse than the general vibe, but the snow and gloom of winter always catapults me into depression too.

Yay, life is fun!

At least from your perspective, it's not *that* long until spring, just hang in there.

why would klonopin make work go by faster then xanax which is stronger/better/faster acting?

cause i a sorta want to get of the xanax or get to a low dose again with the uncomfortable feeling

Unfortunately on top of my anxiety and depressions issues, the winter blues or SAD which is the clinical term makes me feel worst too. I live on the east coast which can really bum me out when the weather turns to shit.

I just try to hang on a little tighter. My shrink helps get me through it too but I don't take any additional meds. Just try to keep positive. Hang in there man, you'll make it. Only 2 months till April.

And Feb is a short month so that kind of speeds things up a little, that and the time change in March.

Personally, I love winter and find it less stressful than spring or summer.  House feels warm and cozy and a big pot of homemade soup or chilli cooking on the stove.  Winter is a good excuse to be lazy while most days in the spring and summer I feel the stress and guilt for not getting yard work and other outdoor errands done.

That's me to a T suzie! I'll exchange the chilli for leg of lamb or something perhaps, but I do enjoy chilli also.

Wee, nice to see I'm not alone in this. Don't get me wrong, I can see how winter would worsen depression and anxiety for many, but I can only feel my mood drop now that the day's are getting longer. It's just a sad, stale vibe I get...sort of de-realised. And then there's the whole 'everyone's always bright and happy when spring comes', where I don't feel that change. I said this to my other half today, and she asked: "Do you like any season?" I said, "I guess autumn's not too bad.." Hmm...

I get what you mean about the spring/ summer months?... I am like you, It does tend to bring out the fucking idiots!... Plus more drinking, which inevitably turns the fucking idiots into ultimate fucking idiots!...

Plus, the days are longer and due to the weather, sun etc, I always feel like I should be doing something? Like enjoying myself?!... Which in turn, brings guilt cause I'm not?.. No matter what fucking season it is!. Whereas during the winter months I can hide myself away, shut myself off from the world I mostly despise and fear?... Bringing a sense of fragile tranquility to my otherwise chaotic anxiety filled life?..

God that sounds depressing!... I've actually made myself sad!..

However, give me a totally deserted island paradise and I wouldn't 't give a crap what season it was : )

Happy again, thank fuck for my imagination (mostly)

. Hope o got all four posts here! I love winter rather than summer for traveling. The cold is refreshing snd energiaing.. Your fellow cold lover,

I prefer winter as it's quieter, less people etc., but overall I would have to choose summer because it gets so cold in winter that my anxiety peaks. I can't seem to stay warm enough, heating is a problem. So I prefer the look of winter but yeah, my anxiety peaks in winter too. Unless I'm having a particularly stressful summer, which has occurred before.

For the past few years or so, I get on 5mg of v daily from Nov-Jan, then do a long slow taper.  I've had SAD as far back as me teens, IIRC.  On NYE, I even called the depression hotline.  It's been cold, rainy and really windy, so the fatigue hit me like a tonne of bricks.  I feel like hibernating.  But the extra anxiety co-exists w/that depression, ugh.

By all counts, I should be tapering right about now, but there's a demolition of one of the flats in my bldg and I'm unsure how much longer that'll go on for.  And the woman in the flat beneath it just died, so once her place goes on the market, no telling if some nonresident flipper will decide to disturb my peace the same way by gutting that place.  So I continue the 5 mgs/day until things at my building calm down.

Update:  while I’m still on v for other reasons and at a higher dose, but tapering AGAIN, I bought a SAD lamp 2 months ago and have used it ever since, unless I wake too late.  It’s no magic bullet, but I had discussed it with my pill doctor and in his opinion, it can help those who get the anxiety along with depression at this time of the year.  I cannot tolerate antidepressants, so hopefully the lamp goes to work on the serotonin and melatonin levels.  I notice that it usually helps my first bowel movement of the day come  much sooner, and along w/ the right melatonin supplement, helps better regulate my sleep cycle.
After menopause, my sleep cycle had no more rhythm, so it was way out of whack.
