OTC vs script

I suffer from insomnia and I've recently been taking OTC "Z-Quill" which has been very effective for me in the liquid form but after a few days I stop feeling the drowsiness effect to actually get a good nights sleep. On top of that, after a few days the effects seem to stay with me after I wake up leaving me very groggy. So basically I have to take it every now and then to get a good nights rest.

I have no experience with script sleep aids, perhaps you guys can share your experiences with the best ones to treat a bad case of insomnia that I've had for years? Something that I can rely on for an extended period of time without groggy after effects which varies per person, but open to ideas before I consult my doctor.

Thanks,

- @VII

There are a few VII,temazapam, nitrazapam in the bnz spectrum zopiclone and zolpidem in the hypnotic z drug range are the ones most people know of.

Also there are some rc ones such as etizolam and the devilish flubromazolam which works but not to be taken regularly as tolerance and addiction occurs VERY quickly INDEED!!!.

The addiction to the medication class is the least of my worries seeing I've been prescribed medications in this class for 10+ years now so I've not only become addicted, I've become mostly dependent aswell. I opened a thread specificly about Nitra, perhaps you could shine some insight on the situation?

Thanks for your input.

Nitrazapam is one of my favourites as it happens!.

I'd advice you getting the 5mg European brand offered by the email only sources.Stay away from the 10mg Indian brands such as the nitrosun or the  arem brand offered by an iop source "very cheap but very so-so".I would definitely recommend the ones offered by  D*sko they are cerson  nipam brand and I'd recommend you try these ones VII they should definitely suit your needs as they are a hypnotic bnz.Its strange but I rate 5mg nitrazapam over 10 or even 20mg temazapam since they banned the gelthix eggs and made them tablets due to them being badly misused in the uk,people were loosing limbs after trying to iv the gel like substance in the eggs!!

What's the hangover effect like with these bliss? It was the sun brand I tried before that left me horribly hungover.

I don't really get much of a hangover effect off them, everyone is different but if you get almus brand? for instance and you take them at say 10pm you'll be grand.

Especially if you are used to benzos they shouldn't make you overtired Nxt day PPTC......

Ps I found midazolam a quite strong med to start with and did suffer from a hangover effect from them to start with, nitraz doesn't have the same effect in my experience...

Thank you for your input. This has put me at ease regarding medications in the benzo medication class.

May I ask how long the hangovers lasted? As in did you experience hangovers every day on each dose or did it ease up over time?

The hangover effect definitely fades after the first few doses, however it's not too bad anyway VII....

Thanks, and regarding Zop vs Nipam, do they have similar effects when it comes to the hangovers?

Sorry if this sounds like an ignorant question, I'm just not fully sure. I don't see anything about it online which is why I'm asking.

Thanks,

Everyone is different but no real lasting hangover effects to talk of really with either, only dependance unfortunately....

That's good to know, thank you so much bliss for all the information provided. It's best to know ahead of time before you even obtain it.

Ambien works for me but leaves me feeling rough the next morning. Are benzos better in this sense?

Everyone is different, I found the opposite, certainly with nitr@zzz anyway, while @mbi€n gave me no hangover.

Ambien doesn't even keep me asleep all night, I find myself awake at 3AM (I generally go to bed around 10:30PM).  Nitr@zzz works fine, but does give me a bit of a hangover, and certainly leaves me groggy while I wash up in the morning.  X@n@x works fine, but I reserve it for panic attacks and don't use it for sleep, V@lium works wonderfully if you're achy when you go to bed, but it will most certainly leave you groggy for a good part of the next day.  My standbys (and everyone's different, so they may not work as well for you) are 30mg Tem@zep@m more or less daily at bedtime, and if I'm really having trouble getting to sleep, 5mg L@r@zep@m instead of the Tem@zep@m does the trick.

I'm long past the point where OTC sleeping aids are of any value :)

I think with myself the @mbi3n is used too often. Sleeping on it has always been similar. But recently I just feel rough as hell the next day. Maybe it has built up too long in my system? Perhaps I could benefit from rotating sleeping pills?

You will end up with rebound insomnia If @mbien or z0picl0n€ are used on a long term basis.

Like most sleep aids you become used to them and they lose they're effectiveness (Unfortunately)?....
