This is mainly for women, but it might affect some men too. I am a bisexual feminist, is it right that someone insists that you shave 'down there'?

Personally I believe people should take you as you are, a lot of the blame is because people follow porn trends like sheep. Same with music, films , books etc.

I just say be yourself, and don't conform unless you want to.

I agree! If it's something you want to do for your partner, fine. If you aren't comfortable scratching away "down there", then don't.

It's OK for significant others to voice their preferences, but if refusal to comply is a deal breaker for them, adios. I'm only interested in relationships that are based on more than appearances. Maybe a bit of a bit trim is a good compromise?

Tricky one, not so much with women. What will be you are still going to look crazy beautiful. With guys and hipster beards and 'taches it's so annoying! Who even you? I basically shave awhen my hair looks more like pubes stuck in a drain  less like cuddly fluffy bunnies!

I don't even care about it. It's a beautiful thing regardless, I will say I find it refreshing to see a more hirsute appearance these days. That said, if someone is bothered about down there, then they aren't worth a f##k.

@PTFC - I would under any other circumstances tut tut you and give you my father the Colonel's speech (the one he gave me at my retirement ceremony, something to the effect of "Just remember, taking your uniform off for the last time doesn't mean you get to lower your standards"), along with a statement for the record of how gobsmacked I am that you've allowed yourself to become hirsute - It would be my duty as a soldier to give a sailor grief ;)

However, while my bedroom closets and drawers remain up to standard, with properly folded clothes placed at the correct distance from one another, I make my bed religiously as soon as I wake up each day, hospital corners and all (and yes, my "blanket" is still an 80's era army issue poncho liner - There isn't a feather bed or duvet cover in the galaxy that could equal it's comfort), my work shoes stay as polished as my low-quarters and the tips of my jump boots did before I retired, there is one area where I have let my standards go to hell - My beard is long, thick, and white as snow (no goatees here by-God), and shockingly, my wife allows me to keep it; she thinks it looks good with my still cut to regulation hair (knock on wood, I don't seem to have the baldness gene).

So I shan't give you grief today - But only because my standards have lapsed in the same area yours have!

I literally laughed out loud!!!!!!!! ? ? ? Aye aye sir!

I do like the husband to do a bit of manscaping and he doesn't have facial hair. Since he's half Irish, one quater each; Italian and Armenian. He is a hairy beast and I do appreciate that he makes frequent use of the clippers. In exchange I keep my legs and pits shaved. Used to do the nether regions, but the honeymoon is over. Long over lol.

I'm still a bit too shy and awkward to look properly anyway, so my other half can do as she pleases.

Pressuring someone to shave in those areas is just nasty, I think. Sadly we do live in a sexualised, pretty degenerate society, and some things seem to be 'expected' of young women (and men, to be fair), and it's just not nice...

The personality is what we fall in love with, not a lack of fluff...

I have met a few men who insisted that I go home and shave.

Been watching too much porn...
This is what I mean when I talk about a degenerate society. It makes me livid, and makes me despair also, because it seems like even the root elements of 'sexual culture' (if there is such a thing) are rotten to the core. I won't go on a rant, it just gets to me, because to me love is such a flippin' brilliant thing (that's an understatement), there's no greater joy than trust, affection, companionship and love, so when I see people put greater importance on HAIR...! There's no hope...

And I suggest instead of kicking them into touch, make them shave certain areas with a large, rusted, grossly oversized razorblade.

@Smoka90 It's just another, more modern form of female opression. Needless to say, those two encounters didn't end well.

I do it if I want to, because of the different feeling, but nobody should feel disgusting if they don't shave.

Pube power!

@ElectroNymph (never tried that '@' thing before - I feel techno-savvy) I'm in danger of going off on a massive tangeant here, but socially and politically I'm something of a traditionalist (although I don't drink mead out of a wooden mug), and I think in modern times the oppression and often abuse of women has got so much more severe. I won't go into specific cases, but I think often it's women who suffer at the hands of daft social experiments and 'progression'.

I call it 'regressive liberalism', but, yeah...I'll leave it there, won't derail the thread anymore.

Now, would 'pube power' be the name of a techno-punk feminist band or perhaps more mainstream, but rebellious, 80s pop? Hmm...

I manscape...usually when I'm bored tbh. My significant doesn't care either way as long as she's kept happy other ways I'd imagine. I never ask for the opposite although we have a,variety of medieval looking torture devices yet our waxing bill is weep worthy. My other does my back but thats due to 50/50 ego and itchiness in my part. I never used to then I started the anabolic journey..

Side effect excess hair growth, you could pleat the bugger.

  14. D @ drdrizzy13: Yeah it was definitely a hold. Can't blame the refs for calling it. But I've seen many sketchy calls in the past to help the spread or over/under lol.
  15. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Wonder how much money was impacted by that last touchdown and holding call back. The refs were flirting with the over/under payoffs… that flag either cost a lot people some money or won them a bunch. But I guess you can’t say it was a bad call, just a very impactful one.
  16. shoutback @ shoutback: Fucking A nfl season is over :( Those were by and far the best teams this season. That Elite D will just stifle mofos. And ya gotta give Darnold his flowers for taking care of the football. That was professional.
