Not bands, just musicians.

In no particular order:

1. David Bowie

2. Kate Bush

3. PJ Harvey

4. Damon Albarn

5. Beth Gibbons

I could have included Lennon, McCartney, Jack White, Jagger, Michael Stipe, and many more, but these mean the most to me.

It's not a judgement thing, just really interested to see what inspires DBGer's. ?? ??

Lets see.....

1. Jimi Hendrix

2. Jimmy Page

3. Perry Farrel

4. Les Claypool

5. Robert Hunter

Thats a hard one...I am a band guy and thinking about musicians within the bands I liked was a lil difficult.

1.Thom Yorke

2. Matt Bellamy

3. Damien Rice (he's saved my life on many occasions)

4 Scott Hutchinson

5 Beth Gibbons

i could name so many more but these are the five that have truly seen me through the good/bad/ugly and get my soul asking the right questions.x

Yay! Beth Gibbons. So glad you came back. ;)

Thom Yorke is a good call, too.

Can't go wrong with Hendrix. Never been a big Led Zep fan, but you have to admire their musical talent. Same with Queen, don't like their music (Too mainstream, though Zep aren't) but they were excellent musicians.

Going to throw Elliot Smith into the mix. And there's a band called The Twilight Sad the lead singer James Graham is just sublime.

Cold days from the birdhouse would be mine. The outro live is a thing of wonder. You should (if you haven't already) listen to their live from the Oran Mor album..stripped back and spine tinglingly gorgeous x

I remember when "Planet Sound" was on Teletext (Ch4), it was about 2008, Twilight Sad won the album of the year. I miss those pages.

I will check that out on YouTube. :)

I love the 70's too. There was crap, but every decade has crap! ?

  9. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over.
