I received a personal email from someone pretending to represent "A" and using her name, title as Customer Service, name of company, all at bottom of the email to imply she had authorized it.   It was solicting business from me in A's name......

I contacted "A" immediately and we've discussed this - she did NOT give my email out to this person. She says the email address they used is totally bogus.

"A " asked me to post at DBG and let people know someone is trying to impersonate her, using the fake email address I give below, ruin her rep & rip people off. 

The SCAMMER used  "certusrx@Safe-Mail.net" <certusrx@Safe-Mail.net>  as supposedly legitimate address from "A" & company.

This person told me "A" had referred me to them for service, supplied a list of medicine categories, products supposedly available, and prices were listed.

Then scammer told me MG accepted and UPS used.  Gave shipping costs and 'cut off' time.

This was followed by "A"s name, supposed title and company to look legitimate.

I had a bad feeling as soon as I read it, even though it looked legitimate in every way.

EXTRA SUSPICIOUS FACTS I NOTICED:

The scammer list included Antibiotics as last Category - and it listed AMOXICILLIN which I have discussed 2 days ago on this site, about having a bad sinus infection and how I always had doctor prescribe high doses of Amoxicillin or Pen VK (but I've only found Amoxicillin on sites requiring doctor exam/prescription) That I was allergic or had side effects from some of newer ones.

Also, I made a post where I thanked anonymous member for their guidance in how to get started using DBG, advice of how to stay safe and not violate rules etc. I had been referred to "A" and she is awesome.

This scammer knew I had communicated with "A" by way they worded the beginning, saying she had referred me to them, for them to 'take care of me".  "A" and I (esp "A") both feel a member or old member could very well be the one that did this.

This creeps me out because, I feel a concern is someone is reading this site.....watching for newcomers, such as myself?

 Then data mining, using info from their posts, to sound legitimate when they try to scam you?  Pretend to be doing you a favor,  say they're bending the rules by giving you an email not just anyone gets (play to your ego).    Like gum on bottom of your shoe.

We all have to look out for each other -  protect the people/sites helping us, too

To the Scammer:  in the universe you attract the type of energy you give out, so you are drawing bad things to yourself.

Everything balances in the end........you may think you are getting away with something, but Karma will even things out in the end.

I know an evil person like you will laugh at this, but watch it happen.  Justice candle burning right now.

Thank you for posting this. iv been weary of the possible types of scams i may run into. frankly it scares the shit out of me. iv read not to play with money you can't afford to loose so i haven't ordered yet.

If anybody has other types of things a noob needs to look out for could you please post.

Sometimes its hard to trust my gut. To me especially being a trusting soul.

I have a feeling this is an Ally resurgence. She also scammed people with R's info by using a safemail account. This is why it so important to only use the contact page to meet a vendor the first time. That way you have their actual email saved.

I've been looking back and I remember that Monday when I turned on my computer someone had tried to access my Skype (which I don't use) and my Yahoo Instant Messenger - a person named "Allison" said Hello - like all the other miscellaneous IM's I see periodically, I just blocked her from my IM and deleted the message. 

Then later I spoke with a ranking member, I was told a person named "Allison" had been an active member at one time until she began stealing people's money, misrepresenting herself or others. I was adviseld to avoid her, she's trouble.......dishonest and a con artist. .

Luckily for me I placed an order Monday with the REAL "A", not this wanna-be thief.

I would say it's a very good chance "Allison" is also the one who impersonated the real "A" since she probably was on my IM earlier in the week and, as "A" told me, this person knew way too much information.  Has to be member or old member still with access to the site.   

Hope she's banned/blocked/burned at the stake or something

I have a social web site and the way mine works is your email address is used to have PM's forwarded to you or notice of PM,  but tho your email address is used for this purpose the site's software doesn't make your email address public unless you specifically select the option to be public.  When I joined, I thought it worked the same way and I had to enter an email when I joined in order to use the PM service.  I believed my email address was still protected but I found out the hard way that's not how this site works.   LOL

So, my email address is no longer in plain sight, however I don't mind people having it if they need it or want to communicate with me.  I've used this email forever and it has survived all kinds of attacks over the years from people who didn't like some of the things I said.  I have good protective software since former Anonymous friend helped with it, so unless anonymous or hackeer that good gets made at me I am safe.  Yahoo Password  changed and it'll be a challenge for them.  I learned best ways to make those, too, from hacker friends.

We may have solved the mystery of the bogus scammer...............      Scooby Snack please.......

Boo speaks the truth, people. Dont make deals OR use vendor emails given to you via PM.

Even when I PM'd with Denise, I urged her to verify the info with other members, because it's just BAD Business to take info from anyone via PM and assume it to be true. Especially vendor emails, given the scams we've seen here. We try to police the crud outta this board, and shizzle still happens! Too many ways to get scammed when you're sitting behind a keyboard, unfortunately :-( Please be smart.

I think I got scammed by this ^ BlueKnight douche bag.  I was very skeptical of the random safemail email he referred me to, but when I noticed that he was using the same receivers in the same city as David from bestsavingsrx, I figured it would be legit

I sent out 250 bucks and have only had one message from them since the payment was picked up.

The end of the product list did have antibiotics as well

In all seriousness, for any new people who might read this thread, Robin Hood speaks the truth. In fact, truer words were never spoken. Please people, please, use common sense, and always remember what Ronald Reagan said. "Trust but verify".

Frankly, the trust part, in this industry anyway, is dubious at best. The better statement is probably "Order if you must, but verify the vendor's authenticity first".

Allow me to offer an analogy. If someone you'd never met sent you a text and said, "Hey, I'll go buy your groceries and deliver them to you. Just leave your grocery money under the door mat.", would you do it without asking for references, Googling them to check for reported problems, or otherwise verifying that their service was legitimate? Of course you wouldn't. It's actually ridiculous to even think about, isn't it? So, why then do so many inexperienced customers do what is essentially this very thing by accepting a PM referral from someone they've barely communicated with, leaving hundreds of dollars at risk?

As I've preached in dozens of threads, it's the painful result of the perpetual hope con. The need for medication can, and often is, an extremely powerful force, one which leads many to take otherwise unthinkable risk. Sadly, it leads to victimization far more often than success. If you absolutely must gamble your hard earned money, head to the nearest casino and have a seat at the blackjack table. Your odds of success are much higher, and you can apply the winnings to a purchase from a legitimate vendor. At worst, you'll at least be entertained and get a comp drink or two while pissing your money down the toilet.

Common sense folks. It's your friend. Use it.

I had ordered here and there a few years ago just when the old db site was still up an running. I had ordered from A And all was well. I was just getting back into things trying to get A's email When blue knight gave me the bogus safe-mail email for A. So like a idiot I donated $320 thanks to blueknight soliciting fake ass scams

I just learned a big lesson I was a foolish person a couple of times myself and my greediness got the better of me but as the one poster said karma is always waiting around the corner.
