Tell me if you give it a solid good advice or just flat out this is all dumb. Plus please someone who can be a reliable vendor that contacts me and isn't so expensive it's a car payment seriously.

here's the rub m8:

the safest order of the type of materials you might purchase using a forum like this would be made to your primary residence and in your name. Life can be a bit complicated, however. If you have ever been the victim of:
  • a "Love Letter" (letter from Customs declaring a seizure of an item addressed to you; sometimes you can appeal these depending on what your order was, typically its lower schedule [III to V] or research chemicals [these, depending on the chem, you might be able to appeal and get it to you, will require legal research and maybe a lawyer]);
  • "knock n talks," where LE comes to your door and inquires about the packages addressed to you that they know have contraband in them (they don't necessarily know but refuse to play ball with them. say nothing, plead the fifth);
  • or a straight up arrest related to a controlled delivery and subsequent charges/convictions
And still live at the same address where such events took place, us in the community would call your address burned. It means don't order there again, for years. or you'll invite a repeat of one of the above scenarios. and it'd probably be the third one (prison is not a good time, and neither is rehab).

So, you need to get your orders, but your residence is burned and you're tied down with a 30 year mortgage. what can you do instead?
  • If you have a friend who you know also needs certain meds which are hard to find, with their permission (omg please ask first), place an order to their address with their name. compensate them for the risk they've taken for your sorry butt, or use your connections to get them something they want. please don't mail p3rcs to your grandma's place, she doesn't need any more.
  • Rent a P0 Box at a U5PS location. Many have lobbies you can enter 24/7, so you can stop by at 9pm when no one is around and collect your package. In this case, you'd want one of the larger ones, as the letter-sized boxes will require you to come during the day and wait in line to collect your slightly too large parcel. you might meet your vendor! or just a regular etsy shop owner.
    • Some have expressed having friends open the P0 box and move but give you the box key. You pay them for the renewal fees, and they have a box but don't know anything about what arrives. This might be the best case scenario if you can't order to your residential.
  • Rent a P0 Box at a Mom n Pop private mail center. It might cost twice as much and be incredibly inconvenient (like they are only open 9-4pm business hours). But once you build a rapport w the owners as "person with a hobby or two who periodically receives packages." they will appreciate your business, and generally respect your privacy (except if you are ordering quarter pounds of MJ and the parcel reeks like a skunk). you will probably not have access to informed delivery, and you will need to estimate based on your vendor's loose schedule when you should swing by. NBD if your pack sits in the box for a few days or whatever, just don't call every day asking if your stuff came in = weird
  • I don't think i've heard of anyone using the Virtual Mail Box or Shipping Center option. but essentially for a monthly fee, they receive all your mail (for like, your small business, or whatever), and they can open and scan the letters and send em to you. I'm fairly certain you can say that you'd just like them to keep your parcels for a few days and you'll pick em up; "please don't open my packages for me :)" when you sign the agreements. These companies have locations all over the place, at like UP5/Fed3x/Staples locations, stuff like that.
But regardless, safest orders will always be the ones made to you at your primary address. do your best not to burn your home address if you have a mortgage. if you have an apartment, wait until renewal and peace out. this probably didn't help you make a decision, but maybe its a bit more info on what your options are if your home addy gets burnt and you can't use it for a few years (remember: U5PS manages a massive amount of letters and parcels every day. although they scan and record weight, dimensions, etc, its a massive challenge to manage so much mail. be smart; use favored vendors; and don't let too many birds fly to your address at once.)

  1. CalFresh @ CalFresh: Thanks everyone. My family and I are safe ATM. @mellowella thank you, but they cleaned me out. the shelves are empty but I'm hoping to call in some favors to restock ASAP. @xenxra I will reach out to set up a secure comms channel for us. Thanks again all. Yesterday was tough, but the support I've received from those I can share is with has been a Godsend.
  2. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Mad love to you and your family @CalFresh
  3. xenxra @ xenxra: @CalFresh if you are able to DM me (in a secure manner) the transactions associated with your btc theft, i can look into that part for you at least. i;m still 99% certain if the fbi didn't discard my leads they could have gotten some of my coins back and considering you had your coins stolen within the us, you have a much better chance of recovery than me. unless they went through mixers i could probably trace them myself.
  4. O @ Outsider9173: @CalFresh Haven't been here long but I want to wish you a fast recovery

  9. mellowella @ mellowella: I will always remember what you did for me the very first time I donated. I have been waiting to pay that kindness forward.
  10. mellowella @ mellowella: @CalFresh are you and your family safe? You’ve helped me in a pinch and were more than generous, and I’m sure you’ve helped others. How can we help you? Does it help at all if we completely buy out what’s left? Maybe that gives time and funds to restock and rebuild? I don’t want to break any rules here, but please let us know if we can do anything. All on your time of course.
  11. CalFresh @ CalFresh: thanks guys. I'm pulling together what I have left and leaning on the kindness of folks who support me to restock my shelves so that I can keep the lights on. Having my savings drained and my security vanish in an instant is paralyzing and the repercussions will only be realized in the coming days and weeks. for now I'm just trying to stay focused on the immediate priorities for ensuring this doesn't. cause cataclysmic failure to the life I've built for my children and I.
  12. H @ hotdog45: @CalFresh hey man if I can do anything, anything at all to help you get back on your feet let me know. Truly my heart goes out to you. I sent you an email also
  13. G @ gfunkster: @CalFresh im really sorry to hear that. But remember karma is real my man. They just fd their karma for a long time.

  17. CalFresh @ CalFresh: friends, about a few hours ago my home was invaded by two punk thugs with guns. They stole everything I had in my home: cash, electronics, and mags, and forced me to transfer $20K in Bitcoin. it is a huge loss and I'm still reeling trying to figure out what i.can do to recover. For now I'm just trying to secure what little I have left so they can't take anything else. I'm telling you guys cause theres not many others I can tell. please bare w/ me, it'll take a few days to get back up and running
  18. CnC5 @ CnC5: @xenxra awesome
  19. giantsquids @ giantsquids: don't jinx it now haha
  20. xenxra @ xenxra: bitcoin is probably going to $120k in the next few weeks, screenshot this.
