So where I’m visiting, mail gets delivered to a Central Mailing Unit (whatever those things are called, those big metal mailboxes where everyone goes and gets their mail from with a key with everyones mailbox on the same street)…
And my man, brother in law and sister in law are a bit nosey or at least on edge about non-transparency and stuff like that….
I want to order a mag… but I do not want to answer any questions about what it is thats coming—I do have a Debit/Credit card coming in the mail… and just did an auto insurance policy, so I feel like maybe those would be sufficient excuses for whats coming in the mail? (I order from addyexpert, and he sends usually in a flat envelope)
If I were to write…. “Delivery instructions: leave at the door” would that work?
Is it bad ediquette to ask the deliverer (aka my vendor) to put a false name like… say… my moms name? So it looks less conspicuous?
Or to put it in a bigger package that would require doorstep delivery via USPS?
Or to ask them to ship it fedex or UPS?
I do not want to be rude…
Is it bad ediquette to ask them to throw in like, a hair product I need/use from walmart if I gave them the $$ to pay for it so I could have an excuse, my pills, and everything covered?
Just at a loss with how to go about this in the smartest way possible, and my brain is running 100x miles an hour rn.
What could I have prepared to say I got in case someone asks?
I could say its my mom sending me some paperwork for the insurance policy, or something with my sister who is in court and i’ll just say I am docusigning it back??
Idk… kinda lost with this one.
No car so cannot get a PO box for myself and go get discretely…
Don’t leave this house, I’m not from here…
I could say its a gift but then what do I have prepared?
Do I order something else and have it come around the same time?
Idk, I’m just nervous but really want my pack…..
