Do the airlines really believe that if a passenger spends the equivalent of 2 months of mortgage payments, sits in a position challenging even for circus performer and shares airspace with people who smell like Stouffer's Salisbury steak, that they don't at least deserve the right to threaten the life of at least one flight attendant during their 9 hour 'sentence' (I mean flight)?

 
Why do the airlines scew you when you have a family emergency and the prices triple?
