So If you knew you had one day left to live, what is the single most important thing to you that you would want to do with that day? (I make the presumption that you are in reasonably good health so nothing like skydiving, etc. would be off the table) Now not a bucket list, just the one thing at the top of the list.

For me, it would be to just have my family and closest friends at my house for a party to look through old pictures / videos, talk about the good (and bad) memories.  Try to relive those memories, laugh, cry and feel the love of my loved ones and let them know how much they have meant to me and that  it's going to be fine and they should celebrate the life that was, not the death that's impending.  S-

S~ I think you've just described the perfect passing over -- I would not change one iota of your scenario, and would wish the same for myself and all I hold near & dear.

And KK, you are just a pure sweetheart, aren't you? That spirit comes thru in every post & shout...

Not sure if this would count...but I would want a magic wand as well so I could go back to the day my son smiled for the 1st time...he was so tiny and beautiful...I was holding him in my lap making funny noises and then "life mattered"...he smiled so BIG and he has not stopped making me smile ever since. I would want that one day over again...I love you lil buddy.

If I knew it were my last day, I'd want to spend it telling my son and daughter each and every way that I'm proud of them, how much I love them, and make sure they know what an honor and a blessing it's been to be their father. I'd also echo DGSB's statement by asking them to celebrate the amazing, unique life that I was able to lead on my own terms, and to try not to focus on what's lost. After that, should there be any time remaining, I'd like to take a final walk from a dugout across a freshly cut baseball diamond on a warm summer's evening to visit my son on the mound, and then visit the nearest hockey rink and smell the freshly resurfaced ice one last time.

Then, once I'm gone, I want them to bury me upside down and tell my ex-wife that she can kiss my, well, never mind. This was supposed to be a serious thread.....

Oh geeze, you make a girl all teary eyed. There's just something awesome about seeing a man turn to mush talking about his kids. So sweet.

For me, I don't think I'd want to know it was my last day. I'd be too worried about it to enjoy it.

Sitting here in the hospital with my grandma, I've been thinking a lot about end of life. I'm pretty certain this is not the way she'd like her life to end and I hate it for her. But she is not alone, and I believe that is comforting. So I'll say that I just wouldn't want to spend my last day alone.

Your grandma is blessed to have you and your family with her...Ive posted this song before but I think it is appropriate for this thread!

Maybesomeday...a song for you and your grandma..."Simply wish for one more day with you..."

Before I could only see my last day on earth being spent in a hotel room crying over a bottle of single malt with an empty container of Tylenol in one hand, and a .45 in the other pointed at my head.  Then I found love, it changed everything.  So what would I do all day now?  Let me start by listing the positions I'd put her in....(edited for content)

99, I'll say it again, I'm sooo glad you're back! You just have a knack for putting the world in proper perspective. You also remind me of what it was like growing up w/ 3 younger brothers, and how grateful I am to have had that experience... Also how thankful I am that, now that they're full-grown men of the 6-feet-plus, 200 lb variety, they have apparently forgiven their not-so-big sister for all her getting-them-in-trouble tricks and other assorted bitchery, 'cause a single half-hearted punch from any of 'em would be end-of-transmission for me...

Blue you are too kind doll! I'd hug you if I could! I promise I will wear pants this time! /default_smile.png

I would shred everything in my house and office... Just kidding. I would find my first love and spend another day with him and tell him how sorry I was for the hurt I caused back in the 80's. Actually know where he lives and could find him...hmmm...another New Years resolution perhaps?

If it's important, why wait til you're almost dead ... Just a thought.

  1. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Excited for someone new! And whoever gets the job should be stoked.
  2. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: But yeah that whole season made me want to throw up
  3. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Layne_Cobain I was pretty busy with holidays and working
  4. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Layne_Cobain I'm back! Ready for a coaching hunt! Rooting for your panthers today.
  5. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: Hopefully it will just be a good game. Watching TCU’s natty run was about the worst it can get. Please don’t give us another blow out 60 min lol
  6. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: As much as I would like to see Carson Back win a natty after all he’s been through. I just don’t see it
  7. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: The U isn’t stopping that offense or defense. Even if they do manage to some what dumb down that defense. The offense is just way too explosive! Fkin Indiana who would’ve known lol
  8. M @ meepmoopmeep: Wasn’t fun watching Oregon get curb stomped in the first half but Indiana deserved the win more
  9. M @ meepmoopmeep: I think Indiana is going to win the natty
  10. D @ drdrizzy13: wow Indiana looking really really good.
  11. L @ Layne_Cobain: I seriously hope our guy @tiquanunderwood didn’t take a header after that Steelers ravens game and harbaughs firing jr ain’t worth it tiquan sports drive all of us equally mad at times hope you’re chillin 😎
  12. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I’m salty myself, being an Ohio state fan, but Miami is winning by the smallest margin. Indiana going to be hard to beat
  13. M @ meepmoopmeep: I’m salty about the SEC being eliminated but good for Miami. it was a well fought game by both teams
  14. M @ meepmoopmeep: Imagine being a 10 seed barely squeaking into the playoffs becoming a cinderella team
  15. M @ meepmoopmeep: I think they can beat Oregon, but Indiana is too good
  16. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: Who thinks Miami stands a chance vs either team (Oregon or Indiana) my bet is Indiana but you never know
  17. S @ sporidicus: delete this though, if it's the wrong place
  18. S @ sporidicus: sorry I don't think I know what this is for. but It's the #4 edition
  19. kemdawg99 @ kemdawg99: @sporidicus reddit maybe? What mag?
  20. Thoth @ Thoth: @sporidicus honestly depends on the mag. Read read read read the forum
