I prefer to use Christmas but always try to be a bit generic unless I know the person I am talking too and their background. I now know I have annoyed Cat /default_wink.png.

At some point I just realized to a Jewish, Indian, or Asian person it can cause some awkwardness when others assume that they do as everyone else at the holidays especially if they do not partake.

However, it pisses me off when others no matter thier ethnic or cultural background or beliefs demand it not be called Christmas but at the same time they want to be a part of the celebrations with others who are celebrating Christmas.

They want put up a tree, exchange gifts, and do all the other traditional parts of Christmas as others have alwyas done, but while leaving out the Religous parts they prefer and demand be pushed aside.

So they want to call it "Holidays" or "Winter Celebrations" or other generic name for Christmas.

Jewish people don't demand Chrismas not be used, just that their Holiday be recognized too.

Same for any other traditional Winter type cultural/religious celebrations that should be recognized because it is celebrated, that's fine side by side and as Christmas is recognized.

But don't try to hijack the name Christmas and try to marginalize the reasons for the Christmas celebration sayinig it should include all celebrations and demand it be called something else because you don't like to core message that the name reflects.

Yes I know pagens started the celebration, so they can resurrect/celebrate their old celebration and also call it Wnterfest if they want.

But i too get annoyed when others demand the term Christmas not be used to describe the Christmas holiday I celebrate.

I was skeptical at first, even a little grossed out after watching someone do one.  But its not bad seriously, and helps with clogged sinuses immensely.

Netty posts are fantastic! I've had chronic sinus problems all my life, and nothing has been more helpful in reducing my symptoms than the good old CVS netty pot and those single use saline packets. For me, a must have.

Netty posts are fantastic! I've had chronic sinus problems all my life, and nothing has been more helpful in reducing my symptoms than the good old CVS netty pot and those single use saline packets. For me, a must have.

Big Nettie Pot fan as well.

I get sinus infections often, in fact, "enjoying" one right now.

I had to learn how to use the thing and after I got past the wasabi like burn to the brain (which only happened when I was using it incorrectly), I must say, it's a remarkable help when I find nothing else helpful.
