Its funny how the pale blue dot picture makes you put life into perspective and also reminds me of my favorite pill of choice. I was on this forum before, but ask MOD's at the time to take me off. Just needed a break. Now I am back. I am tagged as a newbie, but had a lot of posts before and have made a lot of successful orders and have been raped a few times. I have looked for other forums, and from what I have found, this one works if you do your home work. Glad to be back. Glad to call the pale blue dot home and this forum home. And glad J finally shipped the pale blue dots that I am gonna enjoy. Cheers!

For those who dont know......

The Pale Blue Dot is a photograph of planet Earth taken in 1990 by the Voyager 1 spaceprobe from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles) from Earth, as part of the solar system Family Portrait series of images. In the photograph, Earth is shown as a fraction of a pixel (0.12 pixel in size) against the vastness of space. The Voyager 1 spacecraft, which had completed its primary mission and was leaving the Solar System, was commanded by NASA to turn its camera around and to take a photograph of Earth across a great expanse of space, at the request of Carl Sagan.

From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there â€“ on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity â€“ in all this vastness â€“ there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known, so far, to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment, the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

Its a pill that is a favorite among those who roam the mexican vendors. Its a little blue pill that has 100% pure goodness. Unlike some others that are mixed with acetaminophen. Do a little home work and you will figure it out. Ok its the R 30mg. Might get in trouble with the new yellowbelly MOD for posting that but its my favorite and it reminds me of the picture of the pale blue dot, its are home, earth. Suspended in the vast universe of space. For me it just puts life into perspective. It seems as Carl Sagan said, that we are all alone and we as humans only have each other......

Damn, me and my husband figured it out, I'm sorry I should have posted, it's a goodie all right!

Thanks for shedding light to others on my picture. For some reason that pic just hits me hard. When I am stressed about this bull shit life we live sometimes, I look at that pic and think, don't get stressed over life. It brings me relief, just like my favorite pale blue dot pill that I prefer.

I wish others would check out, it's an awesome picture, then we googled more pictures from the voyager, could look at them all day, so beautiful and calming, so much to learn about what's up there, we know so very little about the ocean and universe, but the small amount we do amazes me! Thanks for the photo, was really cool checking out other photos, 'oh the places you will go on the internet!'
