Possible Scam?

Hello all,

I come to this forum as it seems to hold a wealth of knowledge and people who are willing to help with others' concerns.

Won't mention any names, but I recently placed a small order with an e-mail only source that was reputable among some members on another forum.

Trouble is, this person is now asking for a "refundable deposit" to ensure that my order arrives safely. This immediately raised red flags for me and would like to know if I should steer clear? For some reason I thought he may be using a drop ship service to deliver.

Any insight on this?

 
Live and learn arus. We have a very good scammer record here so stick with one board.

I am not above anyone else for being duped. I almost got scammed myself a while ago without checking with my compatriots. Luckily the wise one Fargo, helped me see the errors of my way and I did not get burnt.

Man it's tough, we see a good deal and we gotta go for it before it's gone. Human nature or drug addiction - same thing to me.

 
And if it doesn`t arrive,

I know his communications can be hit or miss but he took the money with no notification last June 19th. Very small sample pack but I can understand the volume dealt with everyday.

If you're really itching to get scammed, go to that Topix site. It's survival of the fittest over there. SCAM OR BE SCAMMED. I believe that's their official motto.

Please post the name of the vendor you are having issues with, if they are a email vendor on DBG.  A refundable deposit is bullshit...

Get this out in the open, and maybe we can get to the bottom of the issue. If this vendor is NOT a vendor of DBG, please don't post the vendor.

I have never heard of a refundable deposit and certainly don't understand why that would give you parcel safe passage. Sounds like he is holding your existing money and product at ransom and just trying to milk you for money. So it is unlikely this vendor is reputable.

  19. D @ drdrizzy13: Honestly I can't think of any alcohoclis except for a friends Dad. I haven't drank in 10 years. I don't really hang around peole that drink or go to bars. I just hate being around drunks lol. And going to bars sucks if your not drinking too.

How many people do you know with alcohol addictions ? How many violent rapes and murders do we see happen under someone under the influence of alcohol yet alcohol is not demonized in the way fentanyl is and that affects much less people. Let's not be hypocritical. The prohibition model does not work and this is no place where we should be promoting it
