Starting To Worry

I've been going through a lot of stress lately and therefore have been taking a lot of alpr@zolam. I recently placed an order for more alpr@zolam and some diazep@m to help wean me off the benzos if things get bad, but the order hasn't showed up yet and I'm running out of meds and becoming very nervous.

Does anyone know of anything easily attainable that can reduce benzo withdrawal? If my order doesn't come through, I can't afford to place another and I'm terrified as to what's going to happen when I run out of my current supply.

Thanks for any help.

I did just find some old phenobarbit@l, does anyone think that could help me stave off the benzo withdrawals if my latest order doesn't make it though?

Sorry to be posting so much here, but I'm really starting to panic. The vendor I ordered from always delivers in a shorter amount of time than this I'm I'm seriously running low. I spent all the money set aside for med ordering on this order, so if it doesn't come through, I'm in trouble.

Aside from the phenob@rbital that may help, I found some old cl0nididne and was wondering if that could help as well. I've been through benzo withdrawals before and I NEVER want to go back to that living hell.

Thanks.

first alp and diazepam are the same they wont get you off the benzos only, more into benzo use, trust me on that, only difference is diazepam needs longer to kick in and lasts longer but eventually you'll need something that's kicks in fast with that.If worst case comes go to ER or your GP and tell that you had panic attack or accident and they might give you something to go though a week.Dont use painkillers or some old tablets as youll worsen your situation.hope this helps and your order comes in.

Well, I've used diazepam in the past to slowly taper off benzos, it wasn't fun, but I survived. I don't have a GP and the ER doctors (if they could be labeled as doctors) are terrible. I fell through some stairs in April, 2011 and they gave me Ultram for my pain. Needless to say it was useless and they absolutely refuse to write decent scripts. I've also collapsed at the grocery store having a panic attack and all I received were menacing stares and no script at all, not even a couple of Xanax to get me through the next couple of days. Ohh, I did receive thousands of dollars of medical bills for their sub-standard treatment though; the ambulance that took me to the hospital wanted over $500 for a glorified taxi ride; they even made me (with a back injury) climb into and out of the ambulance!

I was thinking of the phenobarbital because it binds to the GABA A receptor and has a long half life.

Anyway, I've emailed the vendor I have an outstanding order with and they claim there may have been a delay in shipping; I've done business with them before and I'm hoping that it will show up shortly.

Thanks for your input!

IIRC, alp cannot be substituted with another benzo to stave off withdrawals. I'm pretty sure I've heard that from a few sources.

You could always test it while you still have some left. Don't take any today and see how you feel. If you do start withdrawals (which probably shouldn't happen until tonight or tomorrow if you do take it habitually) take some val on an empty stomach (kicks in way faster) and see if the w/ds go away. If not then yeah you prolly need to just taper your alp use.

I've used diazepam in the past to come off of alprazolam, it works. It's a slow, arduous process, but it works (The Ashton Manual) . Simply tapering the alprazolam would be even worse due to its short half life.

My problem is that I don't have any diazepam and very little alprazolam so if my order doesn't come through, I'm in trouble.

I haven't taken any alprazolam since around 10PM last night and it's a little after 2PM here now and I'm really starting to feel anxious. I'm going to give the phenobarbital a try because it does bind to the GABA A receptor like the benzos do and has a long half life which should make the tapering a little less harsh.

if you dont mind me asking do you have anxiety or opiates problems or both ,also do you have a habit?as myself i do take my alp occasionally but besides work where i need it most i can function normally without meds most the time.So unless theres a huge need just preserve those pills for when needed not, when you feel like having one just to calm down. Also there is a way to extend and also make benzos stronger while mixing them with grapefruit juice on empty stomach, not that i would advise this in any way,as it might have severe side effects(death included).

as for tapering off i have to agree that judgefudge is right-even thou many claim its easier to tapper of with long lasting benzos but, unless you solved your main problems and the root cause of them youll keep rebounding.I am speaking generally here as everyone is different in so many ways and have so many different issues that its impossible to advise or give some real help like this.Peace

I don't take any opiates/opioids and the grapefruit juice (and also cimetidine) only works for a short while, then it makes the problem a million times worse. I'll have to disagree on the tapering, I can't taper directly off of alprazolam (I've tried), I must switch to diazepam and taper off of it. I did it back in 2005. Rebounding isn't an issue because once I get off the benzos completely I'll have a panic attack eventually and the cycle will begin again, but tapering off of alprazolam directly is an impossibility for me.

I took 300mg of phenobarbital about two hours ago on an empty stomach and the anxiety/rapid heartbeat has calmed down, so perhaps I can taper with that. I'm still hoping the order I'm awaiting comes through though, as it's from a vendor that has never done me wrong.

Thanks for the replies.

Phenobarbital does work to stop the benzo withdrawals, I ended up taking 450mg (300+150) of the phenobarbital and had the first solid five hours of sleep in a while. Hell, on the nights I don't take phenibut, I can barely manage one hour and sometimes when I take nothing I'm up for 2-3 days at a time.

Obviously not a long-term solution, but I'm glad I had this stockpile of phenobarbital from MM/Rxiop before they went bust; that stuff was dirt cheap from there. I'm hoping for my benzo order so I can properly taper, but in the mean time this should help me out.

I'm going back to sleep, I sure do need it.

never heard of the drug, but took a read on wiki,so its basically first anti seizure drug invented which lasts long.So it might be a good substitute but has very little properties to treat anxiety, more relaxing and hypnotizing drug as its described, but can be used instead of alp or diazepam

Yeah, well, it certainly knocked me out. I ended up taking 900mg of phenobarbital (in divided doses) and I slept like the dead and I'm still groggy. The last time I took it was over 12 hours ago. I don't seem to have any issues with benzo withdrawal, so it must be working. I'll just taper off my phenobarbital since it looks like I got ripped off and won't be seeing any diazepam anytime soon.

Thanks again for all the replies.

You made the best move you could in a bad situation with the Phenobarbital. If you want the real fix Ask your Doctor for some Divalproex Extended Release 500 mg.. Your story is you fell off the 12 step program and

you've been having seizures unless you drink. Or try Top10medsonline they ship pretty fast and youu shouldn't get burned. Oh don't lay it on so thick that you wind up in rehab.

Not sure if you're in the US. But if you are the Mexican pharmacies carry what you are looking for. They are more pricy but you can overnight

Good luck. WD sucks. Just finished that sort of with opiates. I needed benzos to help. Afterward I found out benzo wd can be worse than opiate. I guess I got lucky

I have completely come off benzo's using the Ashton Method.

It works and can be used to safely get out of the benzo cycle.

The main problem is you need a lot of diazepam and need to stick with it. Write it down on your calendar etc.

Glad to hear you beat the benzos Robin Hood, I had a similar experience with klons. Was on them far too long but they were prescribed by a Doc who didn't give me a ween schedule or anything of the sort when I got cut off. I found another doc who gave me low dose vals and it did the trick, you just gotta make sure you stay on a low dose schedule. Eventually I was off, no body zaps or twitches!

Since I seem to have been shafted by a certain vendor, I had to go out and obtain a script for diazepam. Phenobarbital wouldn't cut it. I'm starting to work myself off the benzos, but, yes, I will be needing more diazepam as that method takes a LONG time. Benzo withdrawal is dangerous though, so I and anyone else going through it must be very careful.

Benzos can be your best friend and your most fearful enemy all contained in pill form...

I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.

  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down

  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
