Mistress Loki's Travel Emporium

Hi, I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself a bit, because I realize most of you don't actually know me or know my current situation, and it may put some folks more at ease.

I am a mom first and a magazines distributor second. Because I have seven-year-old there are going to be times, like today when I can't get to my email account because there was a parent teacher work day and I could take a minute to take a piss by myself let alone reply to messages. Also on days like this, I can't make it to the warehouse to fill orders and pack up samples, etc (I hope the reasons why this can't happen are very obvious.) It makes it tough sometimes. And it means I can't be available all the time. It is why I usually do my work in the middle of the night, which I'm learning is not sustainable (how the fuck does Batman live two lives and not crash and burn!?) it is also why I generally don't work on weekends and only ship on Saturdays if it's an emergency.

That said, I try and be as fast, as accurate, and as communicative as possible. I try to do this with every email I reply to, taking the time to answer all questions as completely as possible and give as much details as possible. I've always beluevwd in being as transparent as possible, only refraining from sharing details that put opsec at jeopardy. I take my time with every package - your grandma should be able to open a box from me, look at the contents, shrug, and set it aside. (I'm sure she would steal your stickers though. And yes you get stickers with your magazine.) Your safety and my family's safety are of utmost importance to me and my partner and I feel like that comes through with every delivery. I put the same attention to detail to use when I am looking for rare magazines you request or when I look for new magazine suppliers to work with who have better quality items for a better price. This takes a lot of time and cash because I am constantly building new relationships.

Everything I do is with 100%. That means it takes me more time. It hasn't been of much concern until recently when we began expanding explosively on DBG. I'm certainly not complaining, I love meeting all you new folks and filling orders for you. I love your feedback on what we offer and adore it when someone is completely baffled by what they get in the mail. I take pride in what I do.

It drives me crazy that I'm not getting emails read and responded to as quickly as before. I used to be very proud that all emails were read and replied to same day. Sadly there is physically no way for me to do that everyday and yesterday/today is one of those times. I promise my goal will always be emails replied to same day and packs out the next.

It's disheartening to login and hear youve been called a scammer because someone's package hasn't arrived and it's been a week. Or there is nothing on informed two days after you ordered.

I will be clear and I need everyone to please read this and understand it:

I am broke and selling magazines for a living and even with that being true I don't want your fucking money if you are going to cry scammer the second shit moves slower or perhaps isn't going the way you fucking hoped.

If that sounds like you or if I'm bout to waste some of the little precious time I have by myself by reading 5 or 6 long emails from you where you tell me how I'm a scammer because you paid but haven't gotten your item within 4 days (or some such similar situation) YOU CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF. If this is you and you have a pending order, send me a dm so I can refund you and not waste any more energy on you.

That said if you do have questions or concerns about where your items are, please by all means ask me what's up. I will always reply. I've been an online magazine customer for nearly a decade - I know how it finish reading your last magazine and the new one isn't even on informed delivery yet. Been there, and done that many many many times. I don't wish that situation on anyone.(And now as a seller myself I keep a stash of magazines on hand for quick shipping in urgent situations for folks that enjoy certain types of magazines.) I welcome your honest questions and real concerns. If you're being an impatient, entitled, whiny douchebag - there's the door. I'm not your fucking mom and these tihs arent yours, and I'm not responsible for your itty, bitty, hurt man feelings. There's the door, fuck off through it.

To everyone else, thank you all for your patience and your continued business. I'm jumping over to the emails now. If you have emailed and dont hear back tonight/tomorrow am, please resend. Emails can fall through the cracks sometimes!

I think most on here (at least vets do) know that I don’t sugar coat stuff. There’s only one acceptable way to do a job. The right way.
I reached out to Loki about some sample literature for potential trips to Columbia and other parts of the world. She was exceptionally responsive, kind, thoughtful, and had great follow through. The sample literature was well within the market for what most travel agents charge for sample itineraries and brochures.
We had an exceptionally pleasant exchange and to be clear, I did donate to receive travel guides to review. It’s been my experience that a lot of new vendors (who ironically don’t exist anymore- what a surprise) will give out free literature to members with no cost- so of course they leave a good review. It was free. While the donation was small- I wanted to note this piece as I think from an integrity standpoint it tells a lot about a publisher. Mistress was very quick to answer emails and it was clear the donation was basically covering the basic costs (it wasn’t much).
Here are my takeaways.
1.) she is super kind. I actually really like her as a person. Not in a creepy way, but kind of in a “you’re a stranger but it feels like I’ve known you forever way”. Which is super comforting. Maybe a little cheesy. But again, those that know me know I’m brutally honest on all levels.
2.) I requested a sample travel guide to skiing. As being an avid skier as well as someone who lives in an area where there are lots of mountain ranges as the area is very saturated with places to ski, and ski guides. I say this only because I have had some of the best skiing experiences in the world, and feel that I am a competent judge of what a good ski trip is versus a bad ski trip is… the magazine she sent- which I thought would be very basic brochure was in fact a much larger book, and not some small pamphlet.
3.)The other booklet was on oranges. The sample had 4 pages. And each page was hard and you could tell wasn’t some reproduction from another publisher pressing the pamphlets. My reading flew by.
4.) ML was communicative through the process and a general pleasure to deal with.

Comms:10/10
Order to touch down : 4 days
Price/value:11/10 (more than expected for sample brochures)
OpSec : 10/10 (should add an extra point for the cuteness, iykyk)

Overall:10/10.

Fingers crossed, it may look like we have a new niche provider. Not all of the mags will be for everyone, but for what she has, and what you get at least in a small sample size I would highly recommend.

To be fair in all sense. I was never pushy or demanding in any way. I was quite patient in every sense of the word.
Loki caught up with me and made everything square. No ill will toward them at all. Just not trying to wait multiple weeks for a resolution.
Not saying anything bad, but I don't have any encouraging words about this business. If you're so busy that it takes 2 weeks to reach some kind of resolution for a transaction here, maybe you shouldn't be doing this?
Business is square, but that's about it.

Happy afternoon folks!
Well it's been a clusterfuck of a day. I got locked out of my damn house all day and haven't been able to work at all. Normally I'd just break in but the physical manuvers required to do so are beyond my capabilities right now with a broken back and a clunky back brace. I haven't been able to process orders or pack anything up. Since I lost today I will plan on working this weekend. I'll ship any samples ordered that are pending tomorrow and process orders. I'll be busy bulk of tomorrow however but I'll be on as much as possible. And of course I got locked out without my damn work phone so I can't get on tele or update the menu like I have been promising!

But do to these setbacks I've decided to let the last sale of $30, $40, and $50 off a particular popular snowy item ride on through the weekend!

Also, please don't hesitate to ask me about the status of your order if you have concerns. I will address valid questions for hours with a smile! (Its the dumb douchebaggery that I have no patience for.) I am selling a product and service that you pay for. You 100% have the right to ask questions. If it has been 4 or 5 BUSINESS days since your order was acknowledged (this means you paid and I said I got you etc etc) then please message me on telegram with your order, zip code, date ordered, and email address.

You don't need to worry about Loki. Her relationships with customefz are not transactional based. She is super kind and empathetic. She always goes out of her way to help people. She even just listened to me rant about a scammer before. She is extremely patient so you should be patient with her too.
 
Decided to place an order with Loki a while back after stumbling upon her menu in an alternate forum. I was impressed by her glowing reviews that highlighted her impeccable customer service and attention to detail. I also thought her menu was cute as heck.

I needed a one-off order in a short amount of time. Loki answered my questions and was able to provide quicker shipping. I donated and snagged an add-on.

While Loki did her part in getting my mags to me in time, the 📭 had other plans. I’m pretty sure I just live where mail comes to die, so I was a victim of out-of-state reroutes. However, when I did receive my mags…holy shit. I didn’t know that this is what I meant when I said I wanted better OPSEC. At first I was utterly confused, and if I didn’t have such good comms with Loki, I would have thought that it was an elaborate scam. Not only was the OPSEC flawless, I actually had fun figuring things out. Seriously 10/10 OPSEC, would do business again based on this alone.

  • Additional information: When I asked if I could get express shipping and it would be sent out the next day, I was told yes. My issue is that I did pay express. However, it took 2 days before it was shipped. I was upset about this. However, she was in contact the whole time, was apologetic about the situation, and deserves respect for that. Because many vendors would just keep their mouth shut and probably try to avoid addressing so they wouldn't have to talk about the situation. But she took the time to do so, so I give her credit there.
