    Anyone like leadership contests? (UK)

Hmm, I'd partly agree with you, but the leadership contests are necessary, and important, especially the Conservative one, since it will determine the next Prime Minister. I think all the media attention there is valid. I agree with you fully that they're all puppets to those who hold the...

    Addictive Personality

That's definitely one of the more unusual stories of SSRIs! But yeah, mania is a good way to describe it. For me, it was mania, plus the most indescribable impulsions I've ever known. They're prescribing meds which cause mania and severe impulsions to people with depressive and/or suicidal...

    Anyone like leadership contests? (UK)

I didn't really see that much in Liam Fox. It's a strange one, because I guess to be a leader of a party you need a lot of charisma and self-assurance, and sometimes that trumps years of service in government. Not saying Liam Fox doesn't have that, but Andrea Leadsom seems to definitely possess...

Keeping your pets safe from your meds (dropped on floor etc).

I know personally, I'm always terrified that one day I will drop something on the floor, and my rabbit will eat it (she eats almost anything), and I take lots of precautions to prevent it. Sometimes it gets OTT and I end up scouring the floor in case I've dropped a kratom capsule or a PK. There...

    Anyone like leadership contests? (UK)

I've got to admit, I love a good leadership contest! Whether it's Labour, UKIP or Conservatives, I just get really excited. And right now it seems none of them have a leader, or a credible one anyway. Just wondered if anyone else is excited as I am, or whether I'm just a boring (young) fart...

@bud Thanks for the suggestion matey, but I avoid SSRIs like the plague. I've had very bad experiences with them in the past. Plus I'm on mirtazapine and couldn't cope with quitting that to be on something else... To be honest, there's one thing that has helped my OCD a lot: a certain green...

    vacuum sealing your meds

I buy mine from ebay...erm, I'm not sure if I can link to the one I buy, I don't want to break any rules...plus, I'm not sure if you're in the same country as me... But yeah, ebay, there's loads for sale. Make sure it's in tyvek packaging too. Ah, hang on...are we talking about silica gel...

Nitrazepam - Not A Potent Sleep Aid?

Thanks for the effort, it's very kind of you. =) I hope it was just a one off, because I enjoy nitr@z so, so much. I think the fact it was a long day and I was sleep deprived didn't help. But lately I've felt constantly sleep deprived. Last night I got a good 9 hours or so and still felt...

    vacuum sealing your meds

@Def_Starr The sachets should say on them whether they're silica gel (dessicant) or an 02 absorber. But I wouldn't use any of them if they've been in a med tub before. I know that on my o2 absorber packet it says they can be fully used up when exposed to air for 10 minutes or longer. So with...

    vacuum sealing your meds

I think it's very doubtful that the vacuum sealing crushed any of your tablets, and if it was to, it would have happened as soon as the package was sealed; that's when all the 'crushing' goes on. Leaving them in that seal for another few months or longer shouldn't make them any more likely to be...

Nitrazepam - Not A Potent Sleep Aid?

I'd definitely be curious to know more, but obviously don't worry if you can't get the information. I'm just a bit baffled by it all...

    Kava Kava

@KittyPurffect Ah, that does sound very neat! It certainly saves you the bother of having to make the tea. It takes me a good 20 minutes and I do it every 2-3 days. I use a blender but still have to squeeze the muslin cloth to get it all out. When you've squeezed out all the liquid from the...

    Addictive Personality

I think not only do they want you to take all the blame, they also treat you like a criminal. That to me is awful. I was asking someone how would I go about going on some sort of maintainance for my op8te use, and he said you'll get referred to...'civil crime and justice' or something, I might...

    Kava Kava

Oh, kava drops? That you diluted with water? I've never heard of them, I'll have to look into it a bit. That must be some sort of extract/concentrate? If it is, it will give you very different effects to plain root. I tried a powdered extract and didn't enjoy it. And the nasty taste, yeah...I...

    Addictive Personality

@Solid Snoop It's uncanny how similar your story is to mine. My father is an alcoholic, sadly he was all my life and before, so I grew up with seeing his nightly, solitary wine drinking. My mum has always had hoarding problems, so the house is full of collected...er, 'junk', for the most part...

Nitrazepam - Not A Potent Sleep Aid?

I think that's very well put about how nitr@z seems to 'adapt' itself well. If I feel depressed, it can actually accellerate those feelings. I didn't actually report it back here, but last week I had a 'unique' experience with it. I had a very early appointment with my neurologist that morning...

    Euro 2016

At least it's not Wimbledon ;) I've enjoyed seeing Wales progress to the semi-finals too. I always like the underdog. It's not just me 'switching' from England, I think they've played very well so far, and I hope they beat Portugal. I just see Portugal as being such an arrogant team...

Anyone ever take Prozac as a teen? Please help with input

Looks like people have different experiences of it here, but my experience was...pretty dire. I was 20 and I was put on fluoxetine after I went to the doctors for the first time about the depression and anxiety that had been...absolutely horrible since I was about 14/15. About two months after...

    Kava Kava

I've never felt 'drunk' from it, not in any way really. It's hard to explain, people often say it's like alcohol intoxication without the massive impairment. I guess that's how I'd describe it. I find it so helpful, although the one downside is it's quite expensive... I know it's better for me...

    Post Your Piece

When I looked up the Herbaliser one of the features was a unique welcome message every time you turn it on, different each time. I know there's other features too, but I can't really afford to be paying for that sort of luxury... It will probably be months 'till I can afford a proper one...

  8. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  9. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  10. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  11. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  12. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
  13. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is INSANE how doctors treat tax paying hard working people like criminals when they ask for opioids. This world just keeps getting more and more backwards. But thanks to this site to be able to find people to help when no one in the medical world will.
