Letter from my Healthcare Company I'm off my meds?!

Well it's not big brother that's monitoring you (i.e., the gov't) but your insurance company. Is it possible you agreed to some program. Our insurance company is constantly suggesting we sign up for some free health monitoring program, which I suspect would do something like this. We always say...

    Very basic advice needed.

It's rumination & can be a symptom of anxiety & depression. I am one of those people who can ruminate about things for years, although more often I focus on what I should have done in the situation. Somewhere in my mind I think I'm doing it in order to learn something but there are some...

    The Attraction of Xanax

Harry was the 1st dog I ever saw who had panic attacks. He'd actually start hyperventilating in some situations--like going to the vet--the vet saw him and wrote a script.

    Pharmacy for Pet Meds

I take it you mean without a vet? You can submit a request to 1800petmeds & they'll contact your vet for an OK. Otherwise it's just a liquid form of meloxicam. You could try getting the human version and crushing the equivalent dose into the dog's food. Kiwidrug has meloxicam.

    The Attraction of Xanax

I'm not a fan, although I've only used prescribed doses, but a standard dose of loraz or diaz gives me a happy feeling. Considering that the dependence potential is high I generally leave it alone. There are still a couple that were prescribed for our dog sitting in the medicine cabinet.

    Guns...

That's just completely wrong. Assuming you're just concerned about homicide--and suicides and accidental deaths with guns are much higher than ones with knives--there are about 6x as many gun homicide deaths. Look at the FBI states for any year. 2013, for instance, since it showed up 1st when I...

    Tired of the Abusers

Hate to tell you, but as far as the medical community & the govt are concerned if you're using these meds w/o a scipt or in a manner not prescribed you're engaged in abuse & aere contributing to the problem. Most people who start abusing opiods had a legitimate reason to use&started...

    The next President!

I think Trump is more likely to cause damage to this country than any other candidate running, with the possible exception of Ted Cruz. He strikes me as someone who cannot consider the possibility of being wrong & at the same time has no real experience about how government wants. I know...

    Quaaludes

Just remember "People on ludes should NOT drive."  It's a Jeff Spicoli quote, but I do remember coming back from a Who conference with my brother driving on ludes and him not noticing that we were on the wrong side of the road.

    Herbalcafe.com

They're advertising so I assume they're open, but I emailed them a question a couple weeks ago (regarding their Mulungu bark) & got no response). It may be that they were concerned about answering the question because it might sound too much like advice, but it would have been nice to have...

    Long-term/nightly Use

By bennies I'm guessing you mean something other than what we used to call bennies (benz@drine, an upper)--I was wondering about that, cause I expected that would f-up your sleep patterns. Baclofen is a Gaba-b agonist only--it's better than a benz for helping you stay asleep but not as great for...

    Long-term/nightly Use

If you're taking any benzo regularly for a good length of time you will have withdrawal effects. I have sleep issues as well and I try not to use benzs more than 2 or 3 nights a week & then use baclofen on the other nights, and am looking to try other possibilities once or twice a week.

    Sciate Neve pain and otc?

I've got arthritis pain in my spine--it's in the lower back but even worse in the neck. I'm a regular tram user & my dr prescribed meloxicam which knocks out a lot of the pain but I think has been causing stomach bleeding & is bad for my heart (a lot of heart disease in my family). If...

Im sure it's been asked but I'm asking anyway

I think kratom has pretty low abuse potential, mainly because it appears that there's an upper limit to how strong an effect you can get from it. For that reason, though, I have my doubts that it would be a good long-term substitute for H. There is research from SE Asia that suggests you can...

    What was Kratom designed for?

It wasn't designed for anything--it's a plant. It's possible it's pleasant effects are a way of getting animals to spread it's seeds, but I don't know much about botany.

Ex SOLDIER WITH PTSD AND ANXIETY ISSUES.

Sorry to hear about your trauma and the lose of your friends. I don't have PTSD but I've done a lot of reading on it. I recently helped write a publication on trauma and substance abuse. Benzos aren't the best thing for PTSD, since they mainly work by keeping you from addressing the trauma...

    A Taboo Subject

I chew the insides of my cheeks, or crack my jaw, bite the skin off my fingers until they bleed, or keep cracking my neck (to the point that I did serious damage when in middle school & have a major neck problems now). I think in my case it becomes obsessive behavior and is primarily a way...

    Domestic seizure - not SY

When I had a package taken I just switched to another address, same name. I really don't think they keep track of names or bother to correlate names with different addresses. Don't give customs too much credit. They're underfunded and can barely get their job done. They manage to check a...

    Tramadol

I was wondering if anyone had switched from tram to t@pent@dol? And if so if it was easier or harder to come off? They're similar, but the pentadol doesn't raise serotonin, only norepinephrine.

  4. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Robert Duvall and a handful of others were a younger actors coach and always said no one worked as hard as those guys did. Robert Duvall and rest would read the full script 228 over and over, then after the last read they would go into how to perform their character. The young man had made it to meet Al who are greats and pull them to the side. And explain what his coach said. They all looked back and said out of every role you’ve seen me in. I have read it 228 by myself. 🫡 🫢 🫢 🫢

  11. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I just wish the opioid epidemic never happened. Fk the turn of the century (which would be cool no doubt)! Many of my friends and family would’ve ended up in asylums like so many others. I just wish I could get back all those I’ve lost since the start
  12. L @ Layne_Cobain: 1914 I meant
  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: I often wish I lived during the turn of the century or at least before the Harrison narcotics act or whatever I think it was 1924 the fun ended but anyway yeh being able to get laudanum, ❄️ and amphetamine at the local friendly pharmacy
  14. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Chew on the leaves with a bit of slaked lime and enjoy the mild boost you get from the raw base.
  15. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I’m sure you know the folks in the mountainous regions along South Americas pacific side buy cócà leaves at the local farmers market just to help acclimate to the higher elevation when they have to head up into the hills.
  16. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I would certainly have bought it, swilled it, enjoyed it…. Why not? A little boost in your juice isn’t going to hurt anyone.
  17. R @ Royboy99: Exports were reported to have around 7.2mg per FL OZ, it’s success is what actually led to Coca Cola
  18. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Having cramps and husband thinks you’re acting hysterical (ie. PMS) the doc would either perform a certain massage to relieve the strains of motherhood and family life of that time or send you down to the local apothecary for a bottle of laudanum… A tincture of alcohol and 10% òpìųm. Fun days huh?
  19. R @ Royboy99: @malestrom: yeah thats it, my bad Mariani, yeah i considered that and also its ROA, which was oral so the bioavailability was lower than insufflation, higher degree of purity tho and longer duration … there was a significant marked increase of patents filed by Edison during the time it was released in the US. Presidents were known to use it as well, and the Queen. The pope awarded the wine the Vatican gold medal award
  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
