Unfortunately, even though Alex finally received something yesterday that I'd been waiting for and had already ordered and paid for. And, not withstanding the fact that I had significantly increased the size of my initial order and had made sure I got the additional CIM out before cutoff yesterday, he was unable to ship (either yesterday or today) due to lack of funds on his end. Not even a partial piece of my order! I guess yesterday was payday for his folks and the recent hub issues and his mom's medical issues have had a significant financial impact for him. I tried to be (and deep down I was) understanding, but I was also FRUSTRATED as hell!!

I feel kind of like a dick for loosing my temper with him. I've just been dealing with a lot of other non-medical BS these past few days and the guy I can normally count on to have his shit together, didn't. Oh well, shit happens. That's why I'm glad I always stay ahead of the power curve. Anyway, I did apologize for losing my cool (which was probably pretty mild compared to some folks on these boards). LOL /default_smile.png

i was in the same situation that you've described...almost to a tee, regarding my order/shipment yesterday. i didnt get upset with him but i am frustrated because of the bind he is in...we'll see what monday brings.

Thanks for the well wishes. Just to be clear, Alex has always been very very good to me and he is still, IMHO, the gold standard for vendors. But, I give him credit when it's due and criticism when it's due. And to his credit, he wouldn't expect it any other way. In this situation, he should have made sure that I received "something". I would think that even if I was a new customer. And while I don't ask for, nor do I expect, any special treatment for helping to increase his customer base, I do expect a bit of extra attention given the frequency and size of my orders. Some people may take that the wrong way, but so be it. At any rate, hopefully my full order goes out on Monday and I receive EVERYTHING on Tuesday morning. Also, I'm doing some random quality testing, but let me address that in a separate post.

Quality testing re: Alex.

As many of you know, the past several months have been replete with accusations and confirmations of quality issues (primarily with regard to PKs). The issues have not been isolated to one or two specific vendors but have been widespread throughout the SY vendor community. We've had some recent at-home reagent testing as well as a pill sent to a lab that have confirmed that some of the meds in the SY supply chain were not what they were purported to be.

I've been on record as stating I do not believe this was/is intentional on behalf of the vendors that we deal with but that these bunk meds have simply gotten in to the broad supply chain. Again, ALL vendors have been affected in some way or another, and since I'm posting in Alex's thread, I'll say that I believe he's done the best job of all the vendors at being transparent and trying to clean things up. I do realize there are some different views within the member community as to the opinions I've expressed within this paragraph, but that's beyond the scope of this post and there's no need to rehash that debate now.

Impressively, I believe that we, as a community, have quickly become much smarter and more sophisticated in our efforts to protect ourselves and our fellow posters from both a financial perspective and, more importantly, from a safety perspective. Many of us have made investments in acid reagent test kits, and in some cases, having learned the limitations of those kits, made further investments in multi-acid regent test kits which allow us to more accurately interpret our testing results.

Having said that, the absolute gold standard for testing is the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) testing that must be done in a professional laboratory. There are expesive services out there like EcstastyData.org that will provide this service for a hefty fee ($150 per pill). One of our own memers Ttony, recently sent in a suspect Watson 853 received from Alex and the results came back as tramadol instead of hydrocodone/acetaminophen. This result was not only valuable for our members, but also for Alex (the vendor).

Part of the reason I've made this post in Alex's thread is that I have sent off two pills of my own (from Alex) to be tested. Honestly, I have no real reason to suspect these meds, with the slight exception of the second example, both meds met my expectations and have generally been well reviewed. I did this as more of a random test and to teach myself how to use the service.

Roxy 30mg - A215 (received 2/10)

Sample#2

Perc 10/325 - Watson 932 (received 2/10)

Both samples were sent on 2/12 and received by the lab on 2/13. The website states that results take 2-3 weeks, but given Ttony's experience, one in which their lab equipment actually went down for 3 or 4 business days, I think we can expect the results much quicker. The results are made public on the website when complete. I will obviously be checking daily so I will post the results as soon as they are available.

Like I said, the only reason I posted this on Alex's thread is because I received these from Alex. I will also copy and paste this into the "Quality" thread where most quality related discussion should take place. I also want to reiterate that I sent in these samples totally and completely randomly. I had no reason to suspect that these were bad. I've done this as a learning experience for my own edification.

While A is as good as vendors get, I've had a few hiccups with him this week. I won't go into detail, but a shipment was delayed without any warning and when I did receive, it was something I did not order. It was close enough to what I ordered, soo whatchagonna do? I will say this, I have in the past received both Rocky Sea A215 and the flying V's. In my opinion, the A215 were weaker than the "Victors". There could be a myriad of reasons why and I don't suspect anything nefarious, but if you have a choice, request the V's.

I agree, in general, the V's seem to be better. Not just from Alex, but from all vendors.

addher all . Was supposed to be the ir 30z, and he subbed it for er 10z. Not 2 happy, the 10z are er vs ir. Er is a joke. Did not ask before subbing. Offers no resolution after I brought it up. Flushed the remainder down the toilet due to fact I took 6 within a few hrs and felt nothing except very sore muscles, then fell asleep. Falling asleep on 60mg addies is....well unheard of. Esp @ 5pm after sleeping until 10am. I should have a clean house and all my laundry done + other stuff.

Woah, no explanation at all? Not that this is in any way an excuse, but is there a shortage of ADD meds right now? It seems like I've seen a lot of people on both boards with bad stories.

What were you thinking about ordering? Rox? If so, you should be good to go. I really don't think you need to wait for the results unless you are just really really concerned. And either way, not matter the results of my test, that doesn't really mean that yours will be good or bad. Know what I mean?

Wondering about the timeline. Told me on 10th he had plenty of add hers all "on stock". After sending MG he replied no

addies on stock. Waiting for them. I had to sub something else. Just wish I knew before. I guess being at hospital can't keep 

up with what's going out? After reading about quality maybe it's a blessing. Something that bothered me. For those familiar

with this is I just asked if they are sending the pink ones or the orange ones, ( tells me kind of what brands they might be).

He really acted like he didn't understand the question or like he had no idea what I was asking. Was clueless. Not like Alex.

Man, I'm not trying to homer it up for Alex, but that doesn't not sound like his MO at all. He usually operates well above board. Unless you object, I'm going to bring this up with him. Let me know if you are uncomfortable with that and I won't say a word. No need for an explanation, just let me know one way or the other.
