stilll getting a little antsy that people who ordered after the debacle are receiving their orders already and I'm still waiting on mine placed well before theirs, not to sound snooty, just in a time crunch. but A has assured me for the last 2 days that my order was going out for the last 2 days, so hopefully tomorrow morning it'll be here. Heading back up to school after SB very soon and it would be disastrous if it arrived after, trying to be super patient though. Same situation here. I ordered well before some of the ppl here that have received. I have been very patient & kind, but have yet to receive a tracking # even though he's said for the last 3 days that I would. I ordered last thurs & wasn't one of the packages that was held in security. Just never shipped...
 
got a tn today for overnight be here tomorrow by noon, one interesting caveat though, pm me if you care to know what it is considering it's highly unusual for this vendor to use this method/added feature on the delivery

I know that this whole situation sucks. Believe me, it sucks for him too. And although I didn't have an order outsanding during the mess, this has greatly delayed (and added uncertainty) to an order I'd like to make, so I'm not totally unaffected. /default_smile.png

Contrary to popular belief, I honestly don't know Alex much better than the rest of you, but I do feel confident saying that Alex is doing everything he can. That may not mean that you won't experience additional delays or hiccups, but he's not sitting on his ass totally unengaged. He's working diligently to clear the backlog, address everyone's concerns, accept new orders (where he can), make sure he has enough stock, make sure that his stock is of good quality, and most importantly, make sure that everyone (including himself and his people) are safe. Don't take lack of responsiveness as a sign that he isn't working on your order. He is.

Try and keep the shipping method chatter to a minimum if possible guys, as mex vendors are trying out new stuff across the spectrum and we don't wanna kill any new options/methods in the cradle. Just don't be surprised if things dance a little different now and again.

 
MC I had written this whole soap box post about you an Alex in the same general vein, but somehow I deleted it...The waiting game is the worst part and delays throw us all off even if it's not due to dire need but rather general anxiety. He's trying to run a business and make a profit, and while I know it's nearly impossible to get comfortable with unexpected waiting, I've learned that expecting the wait is tons easier IME than hoping for ON or close to if. Almost all of these guys need at least a 48-72 hour turnaround. Plan accordingly I think...but you'll get what you need...One of the reputable guys in SY told me when I very first started inquiring with these folks that I should expect 1-2 day delay no matter what. While A and team E have been able to do 24 hr on some of the letters, more often than not, it's closer to the 48-96...I do what I can to plan properly for that, I highly recommend it...and let's support each other but not by being furious about delays or issues etc, rather by being polite and helpful as you would with any other online or in person retail outfit...hopefully that makes sense. Thanks to Cat, mods, admin, and MC for all of your efforts and again folks, try to treat the group with decency and respect, and try to have rainy day items whenever you can. Sleep tight friends!

I agree, for me knowing A over time and correspondence is all I got- I really don't know him in any other way, but in his emails recently, he includes his troubles with delays, it's clear he doesn't have an ego about his service/reputation, just replies with how hard he's working, what setbacks there are currently, and that he's sorry, (friend) /default_smile.png I bet you he calls you friend, too. I'm still pleased. 

On another note- like I posted before- I got a batch of his yellers- wondering what people think of them (v36-01's). Holla

not a review on yellers, but it gives me the warm fuzzies inside when he calls me friend, it's rubbed off on me and I return the same to him, friend.

any1 else receive a tn last night that shows similar non movement overnight? I feel like it should have been out for delivery by now, was guaranteed by 12 and still no real significant updates in transit

order came in today out of nowhere with no tn updates even tho A gave me one last night, I was one of the held up packs from last Fri.

However, my letter was short. I made a last minute change (addition) and I should have known that it would screw things up even though he assured me it wouldn't. Sigh. The good thing is I know he''ll take care of it.

  4. B @ bigblueallda: Well it was a state id renewal. Before that there was a mixup and I had lost my birth certficate and social security number. After a couple of weeks and finally getting several documents in order I was able to get a state ID. It had been expired previously for a little too long and they wanted all kinds of proof. It was a mess. But nah I looked up what to look for an my state's ID to see if it is a Real Id or not and my card as the symbol it is supposed to have. I'll take a closer look though

I am not due till 2026 and I am sure they will make me go in since my pic would be 8 years old - they used to make you go in in my state for aging when I was younger, then went paper - then back to picture ( I think 9/11 to blame for that ) but relaxed it.

It has the star on top right and says "Rea: ID" Mine says ' NOT A Real ID" . I never knew what a Real ID was and never bothered to ask - I think I somehow was under the impression that it was for either military / gov't workers who had to travel over seas. WRONG lol.
