Alternative medication to tramz

Wondering if anyone has tried any other medication that is an alternative for tramz. I've been taking it for a long time for pain and I want to find something else comparable to tramz. Thank you all in advance. Please PM me if you want yo keep the response private.

I wish I had an answer for you because I'm in the same boat. It's lost its potency for me so I'm tapering off but I haven't found anything similar that I could take daily. I'd appreciate suggestions too!

 
Thank you for replying. I wish more people would have some feedback. Currently, I take 5 - 50 mg pills a day I used to be at 7 or 8 which is a huge achievement for me. It's so hard to taper especially on capsules. I heard of kratom, but it seems gross and messy to prepare and take. Problem is, I am more addicted to the antidepressant affect and I read you can't take  antidepressants on trams because it can screw up your serotonin. It's like a vicious cycle. The sad part is, it's what keeps me sane and nothing else has helped me feel normal. I've tried prozac and a zoloft and they didn't help. If I can find something that works, I will update. Right now I'm lost.

 
I'm so sorry you're feeling lost. I'm on Lexapro so I have to be careful how much tram I take. I write it down just to be sure I don't over do it. You can get serotonin syndrome which can be really scary and dangerous. I probably shouldn't take any at all but for ages it was all I could get my hands on that made a dent in the pain. I'm down to two 100mg pills a day (one at night and one in the morning). I need to get up the courage to cut them in half and do two 50mg pills a day but haven't been brave enough so far. Right now, they're not doing anything for my pain, I'm just tapering down so I don't get withdrawal.

 
Good luck with your taper. I can totally relate to being scared to cut down. I miss the ones you could cut in half because it's hard to go down a full 50mg. If you do have the pills you can cut in half you can spread them out throught the day to have a consistent amt in your system and eventually take 50 mg out at a time. The withdrawl is a killer, I get so bitcy and angry when I taper. The stress of it gets me the most and if shit at work is bad then I feel tempted to take an extra dose.

 I am in similar position. Medication @200mg per day for arthritis for the past decade or so. I have tried pretty much every opiate / synthetic opiate and Benz. I have not found anything that mimics the dual effects of the tramz for me.

Interestingly I find that when I taper to 150mg (Always in one dose) I don't notice a difference in potency or half-life. Closest alternative I have found, and for every  person it is very different is Diaz, but with that you lose (for me) the energetic uplift that tramz give me. (20mg) of Diaz in single dose.

Mixing the two, I won't insult the forum, is never a good thing...

I haven't tried diaz, but I have taken clons and they were okay but make me super drowsy and also a strange side effect,  they make me want to shoplift. It's like I would lose that fear of getting caught.  I don't shoplift anymore that was years ago when I was a teen. I do suffer from anxiety and social anxiety so I feel like anti anxiety med might help. With tramz tho, they help keep me cool and not as bad if I weren't taking them. Ive

 
Kratom may be decent to suppliment tramad0l or even eliminate tram.  It kind of works in the same way ish.  It can be tough if you have any tolerance because you will need lots of  powder and a kratom F.S.E. would be more effective for a taper.  taste wise stomach wise it also would be easier(extracts).  Diaz i think is a bit longer acting less tiring at lower doses. Its also not as hard hitting as say xanax imo.  i know i went on a long trek taking 10 plus different anxiety and depression meds untill i found nothing works but x4n4x and had to find a new doctor that wants to start the whole process over again.  Its insane how much doctors are ok with making patients suffer/not listening to your history.  ive always felt that small amounts of opiods put me in a good place. i rode a skateboard for a good period of my life things are used and abused sore and painfull. Everyday feels like somethings wrong somewhere and they provide no help.  No pain = very happy me.  Its just sad a few people ruined it for a bunch of other honest people.

I have looked into kratom and I feel sort of lost it's very expensive for the extracts. My fav way to take anything is pills. I don't think I could drink it straight. I want to feel normal and not always thinking about taking the next dose. My body has been through a lot over the years and I'm pretty sure I have arthritis even tho I'm not that old. The doctors are now being sp strict on prescribing narcotics and cutting people competely off them. It's sad because some people really are in pain and need something to help relieve it. I might not ever come off tram completely,  I just wanted to see if there was an alternative to it. 

 
I swear I seen something during one of my research’s that there is a RC that is close to eve make up of trams. I’ll have to go back and thoroughly search specifically

O-Desmethyltramadol (O-DSMT)

  Years ago when it was about the only RC opioid available,  I tryed my hand all over,   But today it shows up in 'gas station products' from time to time.   To me its one of the very few chemicals that have a very identifiable response.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've never heard of that before. I'll have to research that. I never knew you could find that in a gas station. I've been experimenting with kratom and honestly it has been helping so much. I've only had maybe a max of 75 mg of trams in the past 2 or 3 days from the previous 250 mg daily dose. 

I'm not interested in using opioids anymore and am a complete convert to kratom. But I do like hearing about alternatives and it's not to say I might try other alternatives. I appreciate your suggestion!

 
I have found 0-dms t from a couple of rc vendors that i have used before. I have yet to try the substance. Where have you seen that it showed up in gas station products @ROOSTERMAN ?

Thank you for the recommendation.  I'll look into it. I'm hesitant to try anything new and will definitely be more careful in researching. 

 
I definitely think you should wait until your health is back before you even remotely consider it, but 0-dsm t is what tramz turns into in your system so it i imagine you would tolerate it the same. How long were you riding the tram for @Clary? It is interesting that you had no problem with that if you had it long term.

 
If anyone is looking for a stronger version of tr@ms, I have been reading up on t@pentadol. It seems to be what many folks want in tr@ms but no longer achieve.  It is, if simplified, a stronger version, very similar in action.  There is a vendor I found on here that carries it, I would love to point other to it, @ me or pm me if interested. I haven’t tried the site yet but plan to.

 
I’ve been on 100mg on Tramadol once a day. I’ve also tried Tapendatol. Tapendatol does not last as long for pain relief as Tramadol. I would definitely say they are similar for pain when it comes to the relief.

I’ve noticed when I take 100mg Tramadol at night I don’t wake up with back pain in the morning.

 But when I take the Tapendatol I wake up with back pain. It definitely hits the pain as well as the Tramadol does, but to me it only lasts half as much.  Tapendatol also gives me really bad cotton mouth and makes me groggier. I feel like it hits harder but doesn’t last longer. 

 I’ve haven’t  taken Tapendatol for ages now, so I’m sticking to Tramadol. Again, I’m talking about Oltram brand and XX Tamol.

  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
