Obviously people like us who depend on the mail for mags should be beyond thankful for the job that the USPS does day in and day out getting us what we need. But now they're facing both delivering the mail during a global pandemic AND they're running out of money, plus some are getting sick. the federal government has (not surprisingly) shown little desire to help them out financially. there's no easy answers here, but in the short term you can buy stamps or even just say thank you! i assume some of you actually know your mailman and interact with them. if that's the case, let them know you appreciate the job they're doing in these extremely trying times. i live in a large building and don't actually know my mailman, so i put a note of gratitude and a $5 bill in my mailbox that they're sure to see the next time they open it, whoever they are. it's not much but it's something, and we should all let them know the job they're doing is very much appreciated.

anyway, thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Couldn't agree more!! I always tip our postman for xmas and I will do the same for other carriers as well.....been doing it for as long as I can remember. Now they are getting no additional pay and they are on the front lines doing a thankless job similar to those checking out groceries as the world succumbs to a global pandemic!

@PB&Jelly I agree with you I always tip my postman and garbage man at Christmas. I have missed you so much! I loved talking to you about music we were listening to. I know everyone said Radiohead was the best OK Computer and Kid A are amongst my favorites. What about The Grateful Dead , Blind Melon and Modest Mouse as well as others! I would love to talk to you. You were missed so much while I was sick. I hope we get the fave music thread up and going again! BTW where is @Jellopanda sje turned me onto music in her country.is she sill around?

Love and missed you @PB&Jelly

  16. D @ drdso: It's scary now fr. I'm guessing we're gonna see a lot of exit scammers for former "reputable" veteran vendors. These tariffs/supply chain issues are causing them not to receive product due to seizure/denial. At a certain point they gotta get there money somewhere. Just be careful who you buy from y'all
