Best Bz For Keeping You Asleep

Temazepam has the most favorable profile for maintaining sleep, of the benzos, with little hangover. Zolpidem and the like can just lead to short bursts of sleep as the effects wear off quickly.

 
xanax was great when i first started taking it, slept good and for hours, work up refreshed like on a cloud, now x@n@x is taken jst to avoid withdrawals and suppress whatever anxiety does exist... 

 
I really like the Roche Martin Dow vals from TTM. For some reason they put me out and I stay out. I know they're paki meds, but they have that effect on me. D's Aups are awesome but affect me differently.

 
Tem@zep@m and flun1tr@zep@m are the best to FALL in sleep. However, n1tt@zep@m seems to be the best when falling in sleep is no problem but KEEP SLEEPING is.

Funny you mention phen@zpam cause I got like 200 "2mg zan's" that I actually think I fakes with that in them as many have said that it knocks them out and they don't have that next day hangover and experience where time just flys by like on Alp..

These are everywhere now. The only way to truly tell if you got @lp Is to take a taste. if it doesn't make you want to spit it out, and cant wash down the nasty taste, but still makes you sleep its Phen@zpam .

This stuff is horrible. its effects begin to wear off well before half of the halflife, so you end up overlapping doses. this leads to very heavy WD if you stop. you can read about this on med.com

Phen@zep@m is a benzodiazepine with anxiolytic, euphoric, anticonvulsant, amnestic, muscle relaxant, and hypnotic (sleep-inducing) effects. Effects last over 60 hours and in case of overdose many days or weeks. Its extreme potency, the urge to redose, 3 hour delay of effects, amnestic and loss of inhibitions makes overdose common. Its English name is a transliteration of the Russian Феназепам. Alternate spellings: 'fen@zep@m', 'phen@zer@m'.

Phen@zep@m is not an FDA approved drug product. It is not legal to market phen@zep@m in the US as a drug, or include it in a food product. Phen@zep@m is not scheduled by the DEA, and because no benzodiazepine is in DEA Schedule I or II, it does not fall under the Controlled Substance Analog Enforcement Act of 1986. [21 U.S.C. 802(32), 21 U.S.C. § 813]

I think they are doing it not only cause its cheaper, but since people tend to overlap doses they end up buying/taking more then they would if it were true @lp. DO NOT TAKE THIS FOR ANY EXTENDED AMMOUNT OF TIME!

Thank you for all sharing your experiences... as you can tell by my minimal number of posts, I lurk a lot.  I can't post just to post when I have nothing to say.

I have had insomnia for years... I cannot stand ambien and valium... wicked hangover feeing in the morning and herbals or OTCs do not work.  My problem is falling asleep, not staying asleep.  Once I am asleep I am good for 7-8 hours.

Seems like Temazepam may be the way to go.

i been taking the tranax, it works , i took .5mg last nite was having trouble trying to fall asleep , took one and boom here i am now typing this up!

 
I know quite a few people that have been on two 7.5mg zopiclone for over ten yrs and they are Deffo hooked on it.

20yr ago the docs in GB would happily hand over scripts for this med but theses days your lucky to get a script for a week/max 2wks in times of stress or worry to help your sleep.

Just so you know, my doctor told me that Temazapam's ingredients are exactly 3 10mg. valium.  So 1 Temazapam equals 30mg. Valium.

 
OMG.. that is crazy.  I get that hungover feeling with valium.  That one is out.. I have a few sample packs coming so we will see.

10mg diazepam is approximately equivalent to 20mg temazepam. I'm not sure what your doctor is getting at there. temazepam is a different drug from diazepam.

Are you sure about that? There are different names for the same drug when it is being prescribed for different things. Like wellbutrin and zyban are exactly the same but used for 2 different things so have different names. Temaz epam is prescribed for sleep but according to Dr.ingredients are 30mg Val.

 
He is right Suzie, it's a benzo, but definitely a different drug. It had a big following in the UK 80's and 90's, especially the gel filled capsules,and still does to a degree.

 
Everyone is different and different meds will obliously work differently. Alot of people my wife included use Ambien. For me that doesnt work. My daily meds of klonopin and xanax doesn't even keep me asleep! But, i did get some Versed (Midazolam) at one point and that did the trick! and oh boy did it knock me out for a solid 8! also waking up really early and burning my self out until like 10 pm helps but still i wont sleep for more than 2 hour periods, it's irritating. The Versed 15mg put me out! Hard out!

Zannies and Alcohol will knock your ass out, but like HB said, can be a lethal combo..I don't recommend it, but if you go this route, Never take more than 1mg of zan if you are mixing with alcohol..Maybe .5 mg if you are not use to taking them.

I find it more sedating. They actually used this at one of the sleep dentistry places I went to. They had to give me more because I woke up too early, very short half-life indeed.

I realize that the doses were much higher than one would normally take.

 
My old man works at an insane asylum. They give Ha1cyon frequently to people who are having manic episodes.. terrible insomnia and hyperactivity combined with compulsive behavior. Sometimes they give it by force. He has expressed on more than one occasion that he wishes we had some at the house because he does quite a bit of shift work and there are times when he gets mandated to stay, despite being like the walking dead. Of course, he can never just come home and go right to sleep. Having your head on a swivel all day, keeps the adrenaline going and it takes him quite a little while to calm down... off topic, I know. Horrible as it may sound, I like to take a little bit of both alpr@z and cLon@z when I know I cannot get to sleep. The first to get me to sleep and the second to keep me asleep. But then, I have been prescribed this class of drugs for 10 years. Maybe not the best advice for everyone.

But I have taken 1 brew and 1mg and the next thing I heard were the birds chirping. But I'm not advising it. Just relating my experience.

I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
