I've been taking generic Tizanidine for fibromyalgia and it's been working wonders. I opened this thread about discussing what you personally take for fibromyalgia or similar muscle issues.

So far, there's been little to no side effects while on Tizanidine to treat my fibromyalgia. However, this could and most likely will vary per person! Keep that in mind.

Also, you may discuss comparisons to different medications to figure out what would be best for you.

now i do NOT have Fibromyalgia ( sorry to hear u are suffering tho ) so im not all that familiar with it other than it effects joints & muscles ?

do things like D!/\Z3P/\M or any NSAIDS like Nurofen help at all with easing the muscles & joints ?

only saying coz when i have any muscle issues , esp after an intense workout , some D!/\Z or CL0N/\Z & some Nurofen Plus ( Ibuprofen + C0D3!N3 ) works wonders . but then again im not suffering from Fibro , so apologies if rubbed u the wrong way !

Hi

I have extremely tight muscles around the neck and shoulders. For ten years I took c@dine, in the last year I  switched to  dihy-cr@dine. Both the doctor and I were worried I am/was  getting too used to them, so in addition she has given me 2mg of Dpram, but with strict instructions only to be taken 3 x a week. She says it's not a long term solution, so what is!? I  have had steroid injections  which only helped a little. Tram  had little or no effect.

I am not use how long the doctor will give me the Dpram for, while they help, they make me sleepy so can't be taken at work.

Forgive me I know nothing about your condition only my tight muscles. My experience is similar to the previous commenter.

As you know after a while your body gets used to a vit, what is the long term solution.

I don't have fibro, but I have a chronic pain disorder called Elhers Danlos. It's affects all the connective tissues in the body ( we have super loose ligaments that dislocate regularly, all contortionist for example, have ED). I also have nerve damage to my neck, shoulder and upper back on the left side of my body due to 2 radical neck dissections (thyroid cancer). So I have constant joint pain everywhere from my toes/ankles to my neck. I ache everywhere all the time! So I think I can relate to your issues.

When it comes to what helps for me, I take a combo of Gabapentin, Lyrica, Zanaflex (soma makes me feel better psychologically, but Zanaflex works better for the ubiquitous pain).  I also take Tramadol as needed.

Should you be taking gabapentin and lyrica together? doing research this morning it looks like they both do the same thing. I have gabapentin but don't take it, it makes me absolutely stupid, lol.

@Johnintennessee It would probably be different with different myscle relaxers, but overall, very little effect on net mass. However, as this article says ''The authors found that Diazepam and Baclofen interrupt some of the neuroplastic changes that help patients improve their motor performance''. Most of these medications work on the nervous system, not muscle tissue, so the side effects tend to be related to motor neurons.  However they do help with healing.

Hi, thanks for the helpful info on this topic. I saw a doc & he offered Baclofen or Gabapentin for my muscle/nerve issue. I haven’t taken either before, compared to soma how would these 2 compare? Thanks for any help!

@KeithDavid Soma is pretty much a downer, so it's effective but causes considerable side effects. Gapabentin is amazing for some people but does nothing for others, either way its well tolerated. Baclofen is pretty effective for a lot of people as well, it can be sedating but it's not euphoric like diaz and s0ma. It's mostly effective for spastic movements like MS. Both of them are better long-term meds compared to s0ma since tolerance is not an issue but since they are still gabaergics never go cold turkey after taking them for a while.

  3. Gracie5 @ Gracie5: On the main page there’s a section called fake pills. People can list what they have received and what they look like. Further down is a section called Varied Topics. Those topics include testing. There’s a lot of good info there and you can add anything there that’s related. We want you guys to tell everyone. It’s just easier to find if it’s in the correct place.

  16. O @ ochemdim: I think @Clash283 is referencing a short conversation we had in the shoutbox a day or two ago about the pet prize that Mokachin0 generously offered. I told clash to reach out to Mokachin0, the person with the pet assistance offer.
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: lmao why did a mod delete my shoutbox post from yesterday? i can't talk about monero in here or what? is there some rule that you can't use the word "sale"? I don't know if staff here are aware but I do not own the monero supply. my posts in the past about buying the bitcoin lows weren't censored.
  18. xenxra @ xenxra: @CalFresh qubic falsified their API data when they claimed to have 51% share and I don't think they can sustain an attack that costs on average $75,000,000/day forever.
