Best way to convert LTC to XMR

I have LTC on Coinbase that I want to convert to XMR. Would it be better to:

1- Transfer the LTC to Cake Wallet and swap LTC → XMR directly through Cake Wallet, or
2- Swap LTC → XMR through Trocador first and then send the XMR to Cake Wallet?
 
Which option generally has lower fees, and which is considered safer? Are there any other factors I should consider, such as exchange rates, network fees, or privacy?
