I currently use coin base and then transfer it to blockchain. Which this takes 5 days and has small charges for each. Someone mentioned a different site that was faster, almost instantly, with less charges. Also I see blockchain has an option also to buy btc. From the experienced people on this site, what do you recommend? I'm ok how I'm doing it. But I do worry about coin base history, charges every time, and it takes time. Thank You guys! I do love this site!!! You guys are awesome!

Why does it take so long? I send btc from coinbase to blockchain and it takes 30 min.

I have both my account and debit card linked. When I buy btc I make sure I buy with the card. Its instant. A few$ fee but not bad.

I send the btc from coinbase to my blockchain wallet 30 mins. 5 days is crazy. Figure out how to adjust the fees. Yo could send to an external coinbase app wallet or buy btc n cashapp and send. I cant fathom why it takes 5 days to send coin. You must have miner fees set on pennies

Also look into coinbase pro.

The money arrives in coin base quickly. But it only allows me to send part of it. 5 days is crap. I'll check setting. Something has to be wrong. Lol

Thats miner fee's for sure. On the coinbase app idk how to set transaction fees. Mine have always been less then 1 hour. Try the coinbase website or coinbase pro. Pro is easy to set fees. Try googling or youtube.  It's a super simple fix. It will charge a very st mall amount extra

For those that may be interested there should be a lot more bitcoin ATM's around than there use to be. I know that in the last year or so there are about five more bitcoin ATM's in my area and one less than a block away but you should check to see what kind of machine (there are many) they have at that location as they all may have different fee's. You can check the fee that machine has just by searching that brand of machine it should tell you. Using a bitcoin ATM is the EZest & quickest way to buy your coins, you get them within minutes or less. I won't purchase them any other way.

I agree with this, bitcoin ATMs are great. Sometimes fees can be high so be sure to check beforehand.

The Bitcoin atm I used in my area is called Digital Mint. They send you a pin code to your cell phone and you log in with this to verify your identity. Then you put the cash in the machine and you can type in the wallet address you want to send the bitcoin to. I don't have a smart phone to scan the square barcode. So I have to type in the wallet address. Their fee is kind of high, 12%. But this is what you have to pay to buy through an atm.

Bitcoin ATMs are definitely the way to go. There’s actually an app called coinatmradar that will list the ones near you. It also lets you know the fees some of them have

and speaking of fees, if you have coinflip BTC atms available to you, they have the lowest fee I have found so far at 7%. It’s definitely good to check up on fees beforehand if you can. CoinCloud btc ATMs in my area charge 25%

oh and the coinflip ATMS are also great bc they don’t require an ID for transactions below $900. DigitalMint is my second choice, but it does require ID even for low amounts.

TLDR: coinatmradar = website and app to find BTC ATMs near you

coincloud ATMs = 25% fee to use

DigitalMint = 12% fee but requires photo ID )”

Coinflip ATMs = 7% fee and no ID required if under $900

Coinbase rapidly shut down my account after like only 1 transaction .   Same with Coinmama.    Blockchain allows you to buy BTC.   But when I try to use my DEBIT card it gives me an error.    Finally found Coinzoom which handles all my buying and sending needs.   No need for an external wallet,

Blockchain has one real flaw it seems. You can buy in the US but you can't sell! WTF????

@edgo you need to have your own private wallet never transfer straight from coin base or any company s like that, that s why it's happenin find a private wallet then transfer to your subscription and what you want., you know what I mean and send your bitcoin to them you won't have any problems then pm me if you want me to help you no was exactly the same took me two years to do it so I know what you are going through. But it's not as you think with a bit of help its even easier.

  4. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: whereas if I use fiat to buy something the money is green anyway. Monero does this really well. Anyway rant over, you can DM me if you'd like to talk more about cryptos.
  5. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: I don't really think that people understand the whole point of cryptos in the first place anymore. BTC just won't be adopted by governments because the transactions are too public and what's worse, money that is freshly minted is better than money that has been used. Like if my btc was used for something that was illegal does that mean the money is "poisoned"?
  6. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: @xenxra Yeah, Like I said I've never really been that fond of btc, it isn't used as a currency, just as a place for people to invest money in, even though the whole purpose of btc was to be a currency. If it doesn't fulfill that role, what does? Monero certainly does.

  9. S @ sawganaut: I bet btc bottom is in
  10. D @ dragnetopher: No, I don’t think it. I know it. And it’s not just bitcoin, it’s all crypto. And like I said, they’re selling to acquire liquidity for when countries truly start utilizing what’s been set in place. The USD is under controlled demolition as we speak. This is all part of it.

  12. xenxra @ xenxra: tokenisation is not a plan its already been happening for months, ive been trading this whole move on silver through ethereum
  13. xenxra @ xenxra: you think whales are dumping bitcoin because of something everyone has known about for like 4 years? what does bitcoin liquidity have to do with trading tokenized assets? they don't have pooled liquidity.
  14. D @ dragnetopher: Whales are tanking BTC due to the fact that the future is coming now, literally. There’s a plan to tokenize every single asset possible. This is whales dumping so they can have liquidity for the Springtime.
  15. xenxra @ xenxra: @Gulp2788 this is a terrible spot to buy bitcoin haphazardly because it's going down another $5k -$7k if 80,000 doesn't hold. i told everyone to get the fuck out of bitcoin at $103k. it's better to buy late when the bottom is more certain than throw darts and act like the opposite outcome was unavoidable just because it went down "a lot" and everyone seems to be "freaking out". wait for it to get back over 85k
  16. xenxra @ xenxra: @aarons the last time i said monero was on discount in here it went up 5x in 3 months
  17. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: good opportunity to buy more btc if you are gonna do so imo, me I'm buying the btc to switch into better currencies
  18. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: bah politics, no need to worry BTC is a honeypot anyway
