Hello I am new and I do not know anything about bit coins. I do have a question I was wondering if anyone had heard of circle it is a place that lets you send bit coins VIA a pre-Paid Credit card.
Thank you very much 4way

I have an account with Circle and until today I've been extremely happy with them. It was very easy to set up – I linked my debit card (had to be a US bank) and I was asked to photograph myself holding identification and email it to them. I had the app up and running within an hour. I was able to buy bitcoin straight from my bank account and with one click send it on to a vendor.

I used it to pay ***** once and another vendor who is not mentioned on this forum twice.

This morning I woke up and purchased enough bitcoin to pay for my ****** order. Then when I went to send it, the app denied my transaction and froze my account.  Gave me some kind of error saying that my account needed to be reviewed that would take about 3 to 5 working days. I tried to contact them but as they are in America and I am in the UK, they were still in their beds asleep while I was panicking as I was trying to get my kids ready for school.

The app was happy to take my money--have a bitcoin balance – but they wouldn't let me send it to my vendor. So now the money I needed to send is tied up in their app and they aren't available to speak to me for another three hours. I have sent two emails to their text support and had no response.

Sorry I had to stop my story in the middle and take care of something…

So I am waiting to hear from them what the issue is and hopefully it is just some small thing that they can fix quickly.
I have been reading online many reviews about circle and it seems that people are complaining that they have some sort of strict algorithm that is intended to protect their consumers from identity theft and and other hacking, but it often prevents regular people from doing normal transactions.  I am crossing my fingers that I have fallen into this category and they will just fix whatever the problem is and I can go on using Circle.

I will keep you all posted as I know more.

@lightningseed interesting.

I'm not an expert in Bitcoin but I fully believe that Bitcoin will be the payment option in the future in this  business.

Daily receiver’s from Western Union and Moneygram are getting blocked.

This is the Bitcoin address for donation to this forum  3P1HGYfPLe3g86wXE9xuwgagre2aLjdpzX

It is not a secret, it is not illegal and it is published on this forum.

Now concerning the vendor, how in the world someone would know from who the address is except if some other people who have used the address before add some message to the transfer like this for example “this Bitcoin payment is for payment for my order 100 tablet ****

But for safety reason I would advise vendors to change their Bitcoin address regularly.

Also to avoid the problem you have encountered I would suggest once you have purchased your Bitcoins transfer it to your own free wallet. A wallet what is not owned by any company but is fully in your own control.

I for myself have a free Bitcoin wallet from Electrum, it costs nothing and nobody control it, nobody needs to approve if I send Bitcoins. It is fully in my own control. https://electrum.org/#home

Thanks

Wallet....thanks for that!

Is electrum better done from a PC or do u think can I do it via my iPhone?  I just went to the link you sent and it looks complicated...but then again everything does it first.

I just got off the phone with the circle people and that it seems they want to have their "team" take a closer look at the activity on my account.

I have a feeling that they believe I have violated their code or rules by sending payments for  illegal activity.   Clearly states in their by-laws at purchasing prescription medications and steroids and other such items are forbidden.  Don't know why I think they are going to accuse me... I might just be being paranoid, but I get this feeling that they're going to shut me down. They said they'll let me know what is going on with my account before the end of the day.

Anyone suggest a Bitcoin provider in the US that I can use to buy bitcoin using an American debit card? Obviously not circle because I think they've decided they don't like me anymore…

and then I'll figure out the wallet thing and I will use that to send to vendors--no more mum and dad watching what I do and where I spend my money!

Bitcoin is - if used correctly - one of the best payment methods you can use.

You need a secure (ideally open source) wallet - Electrum is one of those - if used correctly. One in which it is possible to store everything also offline. The next thing, one of the most important, generate a new dress for every transaction! Do not forget that each transaction can be connected to your IP so consider to use something like tor while doing these transactions...

I finally gave into the Bitcoin craze for a payment option, so I had to do the tedious research.

Like you lightningseed5, I linked my bank account and it worked once and then decline thereafter. So I searched for another Bitcoin exchange, found cex.io and used greendot card  as my payment source. And it's worked every time. Then once I purchase the bitcoins I send them to my Bitcoin wallet, whichever you prefer. So far it's been surprisingly easy.

I use coinbase. It's not anonymous but you can use a tumbler to transfer it to a cold storage account. The reason I use coinbase is they have an instant transfer from Bank account without waiting for it to clear you bank. Almost a credit of sorts. A good tumbler is Helix. Just use Google and onion.

I recommend using localbitcoin to buy your bitcoins as they respect privacy, things are done anonomously. Electrum is a good program to download to use as a Bitcoin wallet for storage of bitcoins. Be careful who you buy bitcoins from because some sites will ban you if they catch you transferring coins to anywhere shady. Dont be connected to the TOR network while buying bitcoins because this sets of red flags for sellers as well as others. Lastly use a tumbler to keep your Bitcoin transactions anonymous. Hope that helps

This is why I try to stay away from BTCs lately because of all the ddos attacks launched by hackers lately have caused so many problems. Hopefully this is not the case and this company Circle is taking random extra precautions which does happen.  You didn't get locked out of your account with this company did you?

What is a tumbler?

Think of it as a big barrel everyone puts their coins in. It spins and spits out new clean coins.

Yesterday I tried to use Circle to buy some bitcoins, I used my greendot debit card to send the money. I think I sent around $120. For some reason though it says transaction failed, but it doesn't tell me a reason why. I was thinking maybe they don't accept greedot pre-paid debit cards. But I got the money back into my account at least.

This is the best place to buy and sell Bitcoins. https://localbitcoins.com The transactions are between individuals, not to deal with regulation organizmos , and in most cases is not required any verification of identity or algdo similar. We talk about comfort and anonymity?

This is a personal email I received from this gentleman. he seems a genuine guy. And he's been mentioned here before. Point is he's answering emails to him personally. This is a copy of the email I received.

Hello

"I saw that you registered on LocalBitcoins a while back, but you haven't completed a trade yet. I wanted to reach out to you personally to see if there is anything I can do to help you get started? If so, please let me know."

All the best,

Have you used localbitcoin before, what in your opinion would be best method of payment? I know some take  longer to process or cost more in fees then others, and there are a lot to choose from.  I tried coin base but they don't take ppcc

@Conceited, with bitbargain it's all bank transfers with the amount purchased. I dont remember much in the way of fees at all, and instant processing. I know this is a different site altogether, but I suspect it could be similar.
