My girlfriend wants to make brownies now I hate weed. But I've head that brownies are totally different and that it more mellow and more like a body high.

Anyone have any recipes? Or experience they can share please?

When my "baby" sister was diagnosed with cancer,  I dropped everything and dedicated my life to taking care of her so that she could remain at home with her beloved children and pets. As I was an Oncology RN, I was well trained in chemo,  radiation,  interferon,  etc. And I was well aware of her prognosis.  So my job was just to make her transition into the afterlife as pain free and pleasant as possible.  Don't get me wrong,  I would have given my life to save her.  But the doctor put her in hospice and I never left her side. The hospice visiting nurse delivered all of the hard core pain prescriptions that you can think of. We tried everything in every possible combination,  but as she was so riddled with pain (and  the grief and guilt of "leaving " her family and children) NOTHING helped. Then a friend delivered some smoke and a box of brownies.  She couldn't tolerate the "smoke" ( cancer had spread to her lungs) but she was willing to try the brownies. At her insistence,  I tried some with her, and from that point on, we spent our time together in peaceful relaxation with a lot of giggles thrown in for good measure.

I will always miss her so much, and I will never get over losing her, but thanks to the brownies I'll always have such sweet and tender memories.

Hope my story was helpful @US Army Veteran,  I  totally recommend brownies and would love a recipe too! Let me know if you get a good one!

i have several recipes . even a couple digital books with recipes. heres a lil tip. if you can, h@sh is the best way to cook with your butter. a good one requires very little and you can cook your butter for half hour and it will dissolve in well instead of spinning it for hours. if you want recipes let me know

Making brownies yourself is challenging because it's tough to know exactly what the dosage is going to be. I've made some batches that were pretty weak and half the pan didn't do much. Other times a couple bites had me pinned to the couch for hours. I really like that medical mj is legal where I'm at so I can get standardized edibles that state how much THC is in them. That way I can gauge how much I should eat for the effects that I like.

You're right that edible weed is a more relaxing, mellow body high... IN SMALL DOSES. Eating too much is not fun, it can be intense and last a very long time. So be sure to go slowly... take a few bites on an empty stomach and wait half an hour before eating more. Gradually work up until you know how it's going to affect you.

I've found the best method is making weed butter, since THC is fat soluble. Then you just use that butter to make the brownies. There are lots of guides and recipes online, you'll have no trouble finding a good one using Google.

I have a few extremely good recipes for making brownies the easy way with great herbed butter or making chocolate cookies from scratch with herbed butter. PM me for recipe details!

For sure @SamIam

if I get a chance, I'll pm you in the next few days with some delicious recipes!  I've made them once or twice in my life. 😉

They usually become very delicious and semi dangerous at the same time. I'll send you recipes for great sweets soon!
