Hi there
@Darlink my friend,
I am sorry to hear you had such a terrible experience, it's not nice seeing things that one would rather not.
And your spot on when you say can't 'unhear', or 'unsee' things, especially true if it's something nasty and obnoxious..
But with that said, there's a good reason
DarkNet sites exist. You can not find a Darknet site unless you have the URL (address)
With a
ClearNet site it's Indexed on the Interweb and, crawled regularly by bots so can be found with a bit of searching,
Even if you don't have the URL.
There are some exceptions where a site might have a robots.txt file, which 'tells' the bots not to crawl the site but commands are just a guide to action
and a proper robots.txt file has to be written with some slightly more complex phrases / words to make sure it 'works' because advertising bots will comply
but there are many more than advertising type bots and so called 'reliable' search engines, like G@@gle, follow the instructions in a robots.txt file, but other
robots can and do ignore them so a site owner has to do more if they don't want there site to be easily found. A properly configured robots.txt file prevents
the private information from been found by the search engines (and other bots)
Also a
DarkNet site uses a string of characters instead of a 'Name'. So it would be something like
dbfusxvdriq.onion instead of
tokersite.com,
which again makes it that much harder to find without the actual address.
There are some Very good and reliable DarkNet sites out there for buying your vitamins and what-not, and if memory serves me right we have a
DarkNet (Former?) Vendor here with us on the boards at the mo..
Anyway, getting a bit carried away here. Once again, sorry to hear you had to go through what you did.
It's not all bad is i suppose what i'm trying to get across, albeit in a kind of long winded way! Lol
But just to re-emphasise that all
DarkNet sites are not bad, and many do serve a good purpose.
Hope the coffee wore off and you got a good nights sleep..
Regards, T.
